Funkey Hughes 500E scale RC heli Trex 600 mechanics

Doing the initial test flight with the new Funkey fuselage. I've heard horror stories of vibrations causing crashes. It flew quite smooth but did have some increased vibration after some forward flight and coming out of transitional lift. I used wood blocks to mount in the fuse and reinforced the doghouse with some light ply. Some cheap anti-collision lights were also added. Funkey makes a pretty nice fuse!

I just want to thank you mnf for replying back to me about the gyro I do have a job of laying on the table back there like you said 401 I think but I got one of those laying back there I can go ahead and install it in there and again thank you again for your come back on that and I enjoy your videos to a lot thanks

How very beautiful helicopter you got great flying to enjoyed it I was hoping if you could tell me if you've got a gyro installed in it I'm building a 700 Hughes 500e and I'm curious as to whether to use a gyro or not

Have you ever had a problem with your Flybar hitting against the Top of the Frame? i have Hughes 500 i'm about to install on a Trex 600 as well and i noticed that the Flybar rubbed against that Top piece so i cut half of it off...Also are you Flying with 6s? can it handle the wight pretty good?

rhampton1914 No I really didn’t have problem with that. I did have the put spacers under the mechanics. Is your mechanics as high as mine. Yes 6s. Wasn’t the best for 3d but worked well for scale flying and no prob with wind. Thx

Are there any issues with the flybar being so close to the fuse?

Yep I was totally worried about that when I was putting it together but it hasn’t been a problem.

Hi, I'm going to rebuild a trex 600 mechanic in that fuselage. I was wandering about the tail servo, could you please let me know your tail servo and if you feel happy with it?

Francesco Orru I’m using an old futaba 9253 tail servo. Still works great. I’m just flying it scale so it’s fine. You’ll have lot of fun with it. It always draws a lot of attention at the field.
