i came back to this video to say I bought the Michaels case and glued a strip of felt fit to the bottom and was able to smooth over the notches it works great. I also drilled a whole on the back corner to fit wiring for UV strips to light my blacklight funkos

Cool vid. I’ve not picked up a Funko case. If they held pop stacks I would consider it. I do have a few of the Michael’s cases. They work great for soda’s and out of box pops. They display very well.

Currently have 4 of the Marshall’s displays hanging on my wall. For the most part i am an out of box collector and they work perfect for what I’m trying to achieve. The funko ones are made for in box collectors in mind, but the fact that they’re not always on their site and are $50 each is an oof for me. For $10 more i can get 2 of the other displays, is my way if thinking. My 4 are used for Back to the Future, Power Rangers, Dragonball Z and Naruto/anime displays. Need another or 2 for my 90s Batman movies funkos and my 90s Ninja turtles funkos. But great video showcasing both and noting the differences 🤘 very informative

Never thought about Marshals, I will have to check out their cases, thanks for letting me know. I can see what you’re saying, if your really not putting the box in the case, then save the money and get two. Again thank you for the info.

Will the funko display hold a 7in figure out of box?

Looks like the clear door panel on the Funko is made of acrylic plastic while the michaels one is actually glass. Not sure if there are any clarity differences between the two. Acrylic is easier to scratch compared to glass.

Definitely favor the Funko case more, but if you want to save $20, the others aren’t to bad to. Thank you again!

For the Funko 8 pop display, does the fabric make it difficult for a blacklight led strip to stick or should it be fine? Thanks! I’m looking to buy one for my black light pops.

Good question, I have not tried it, I guess depends on how sticky the led backing is. The felt lines the entire inside, if the led doesn’t stick, I guess you could cut the fabric back a little to expose the wood to get a good clean surface. Great idea with the black light pops.

I picked up two Michael's cases second hand from a gentleman who used them for displaying pops..... Does anyone have those inserts for displaying the bats? I need two sets!😔

Hello, if understand your question correctly, if you put the pop in the display box outside of the figure box, yes, you could do that. If you keep them in their pop box, I’d say no, to tight for the lights. I hope this helps, thank you.

Great video! Quick question .....would the Funko display case fit 7 inch action figures like Mezco, SH Figuarts, Mafex...etc?

The 7” figures will not fit, I tried my Jason and he doesn’t fit. The actual opening to the Funko case is 6 3/8” tall, the baseball bat is obviously smaller. Wish I had better news. Thanks again.

Question, would the Funkos fit in the box with a blacklight led strip along the inside?

If you use the actual Funko case and put the figures in not in their box, yes. If you keep the figures in the box, I’d say no, to tight and even if you did, the boxes would block the the led lights, kind of defeating the purpose. I hope this helps. Thanks

Tell you what, can’t do it until tomorrow evening, but I’ll put as many pops as I can in each case, to see how many will fit in each. I’ll let you know. Thanks

Ok, I was able to get 12 free standing pops in the pop box, 13 in the baseball bat case. Now that’s making them touch and I’m sure that may vary with wider/thinner pops. Hope this helps.

do funko pop boxes fit in the baseball case when placed side ways?

Yes, a Funko pop box will fit sideways, but the glass door will not close all the way, about a half inch gap. Hope this helps.

What kind of LEDs do you recommend using on these?

That’s a good question, I’d prefer strip leds, but you’d have to cut back some of that felt to make room for them to stick. The inside is complete lined. It would only be beneficial if you display sodas or pops out of the box. I’m sure this didn’t help much, lol. Thanks.

I been looking into the Michael's cases. How many of the regular size funko can you fit in it without the boxes?

The Micheal’s case, I believe it was 13 regular pops free standing. Now that was putting they tight together. I’m sure this will vary slightly depending on the pops. The Funko case was 12 pops out of box. Hope this helps. Thanks

What a total waste of money time and space Funko Pops are, Save your money and time along with room space you will not regret it in the future.

nice shoes, cars, mansions, disney vacations, decent clothing, and anything else is technically a waste of money. If it aint food, decent tranportation, a decent house, decent clothes, and medical bills then its a waste. Let people buy what they enjoy since life is to short to moan about these types of things.
