Thanks very much for sharing. I was hoping to find a video just like this to augment my failing memories of my time there as an 11 year old in 1990. I couldn't believe it when I first entered - it was heaven! I remember playing that EXACT Galaxy Force II machine every time I went (which was about once a year in the summer holidays with my grandmother). I loved the whole spinning around and tilting experience hehehe.

I went there between the mid 90s to the late 2000s (roughly), I didn't know they were even open in the 80s! I'd never seen Troc like this, amazing!

Wonderful video! The quality is pretty good for 1989! Brings me back to when I could play the greatest SEGA arcade games locally at Pizza Hut, the roller skating rink, and at local arcades which were much more common back then. Thank you for sharing!

such huge fond memories of this place i frequented in the late 80's and throughout the 90s to early 2000's. those were some very cutting edge graphics at the time on those machines, the majority or arcade games these days are easily replicated by home consoles and pc's now hence the decline in arcades. But yeah many fond memories of funland, Sega world, Alien war and The Imaginator were all exciting and futuristic thrills when i was young (im 36 now and still game on PC)

awesome, awesome find. Ive been going troc since i was 7. Still go regularly today. Shame how it is today, but still, its good enough for me. Im actually setting up an internet video game show to be filmed there. If you find any more footage upload, this stuff is great.

There's a chance I might have been playing the Out Run game there. I could finish the game, always went right-left-right-right to finish at Autobahn (Goal D), and the footage at 4'30" shows a player going through Wheat Field and then taking the right-hand option to get to Autobahn with 15 seconds to go (leaving 5 seconds to go crossing the checkpoint). I frequented the arcade across from Kings Cross, the one near Chinatown opposite the WAG Club, and Funland in the Trocadero. I played OutRun a lot, so this has me hoping I come across the extra footage someday. Others have said that (based on Madonna's Vogue in the background) this would be 1990. That makes sense ...OutRun came out in 1989 but I first completed it in early 1990. The reason I think it's me is because there's a tactic being used that I used and nobody else I watched used: the side of the road was wide enough to be its own lane, and that was done 4'36" into the video.

@martinharder even cooler is that Michael Jackson once had a Beast Busters cabinet of his own which he took on tour with him.

This is the old Funland before Segaworld came to Trocadero in 1996. Funland management took over the Segaworld site in 1999 (when Sega pulled out), shut their old site and renamed the whole place Funland in 2000. PS I think this video is from 1990 as I can hear Madonna's Vogue in the background.
