Even with the blurry textures and awkward inconsistency between the body motion cap and the face film cap (I believe the techs were done separately?), this game still has the best facial animations to date. Advanced motion cap just doesn't quite look as real as the filming tech they used here when it comes to facial expressions. Granted, its getting better.

In game, I found it totally a-holish for Phelps to interrogate a kid after himself breaking the news of the tragedy, instead of letting the father handle it. This case just made it abundantly clear that Phelps does not care about the nuances of human emotions and just wants to check off the right boxes to climb to the top. And more often than not, he ends up catching the wrong people and keeps getting promoted for it. The whole LAPD is shown to be a huge s-bag. Including the Scripture quoting Irish homicide chief.

Seriously, why have we never got any realistic facial expression in video games like this? Notice they move their eyes. Other video games only do that when they look at you. This one, everything is moving, they don't look dead. Wish we got more, Sad how the company who made this game shut down.
