Get another cat or several, lots of them need homes and you can love them but it's like Highlander where he knows he will outlive them so must endure that pain and make the most of the time you have (gteat film!) worrh it. It doesn't mean you're over the missing kitty, just that you give your love to all the kittys now, then, and in the future.

My friend has a cat. Orange of course. His name is Harry, we call him Houdini because he can always get into anything he's determined to... Yet we never figured out how. One day, we noticed he was being irregularly quiet and absent. So we began looking for him. Ten minutes go by and we looked all over the apartment. No sign. We began to get worried. Since we were gearing up to look around the place, and inside the vents..ect. I decided to grab a drink first. Well. I found him... he'd somehow opened the fridge, to eat the BBQ chicken from the grocery store... And gotten trapped inside. And yes, he was fine, but the chicken was all gone.
