Because he knows his dogs, he doesn't know this one. I've had it happen to me that someone else's dog attacked me AFTER I was told, don't worry, they won't bite, they're just a big loveable teddy bear. Well, I was attacked by that animal. You don't know what animals is going to attack and when or why. He's alright to be afraid of a strange dog.

I love how Rocky is sensitive to the guy. People forget that there are some people who have phobias of all types. I, for one, have phobia of animals as well, especially cats. I am now in my 30's have been able to come out to certain people and admit it, while before I used to chuck it to allergies. The Rock is a true friend.

People think it's funny when people are scared of stuff and sometimes, from the outside, it's funny, but to the person it's happening to, it's truly frightening. I'm scared to death of clowns and porcelain dolls. I think I'd faint if ever cornered by one or the other. And I damn near pass out when a cicada gets too close to me and starts making that screaming noise it makes. It's not funny for us chickens out here, lmfao.

What's annoying is that some people don't understand the very real fear some people have of certain things. He's scared of insects and animals. I'm scared of insects (cicadas in particular) as well as clowns and porcelain dolls. To you, it's nothing. To him, to me, it's horrifying. It is what it is. Understand and respect that some people have very real fears regardless of how irrational it is to you.

That's easy for you to say, but for the person with the fear it's not that easy. I'm scared to death of bugs, clowns, and porcelain dolls. To you, it's nothing, to us, it's a very real fear. Why does anyone like or dislike anything, why are some afraid and some are not? There's no answer. You just gotta respect that when someone tells you they're afraid that they mean it and you should respect their boundary and their fear and help ease their mind. If I were ever cornered by a cicada, clown, or porcelain doll I'd pass out. It is what it is and we just ask for understanding. It's funny to ya'll and hell, some of this was funny to me, but I understood his fear. He has his, I have mine, lol.

I had a paramour who was born in India (he had a Scottish accent when he spoke English because he asked to go to Scotland for his education when he turned 10; wanted to learn how to play the bagpipes) and we went to this cat show. As we went through this lady had just taken her hairless cat out of its cage to re-arrange its bedding so I asked her if I could hold it for her. Mr. Patel looked COMPLETELY freaked out, so I asked him to just hold it for a bit. He did, but he so was grossed out by the way it felt I thought he was going to pass out. So, I took it from him with the owner giggling "Well, they are not everybody's cup of tea." So, Mr. Patel goes "That's IT, we're out of here." He was SO scared/pissed off about me talking him into holding the cat he didn't say a word to me until we got to his favorite pub. Of course a bunch of his Indian cronies were there, so he parks himself at their table and starts wittering to them in Hindi about his horrific ordeal. They didn't believe a cat like that existed, so he gives one of them the keys to his Bentley and tells them to go see for themselves. So, they chugged their drinks and took off all four of them. A bit less than an hour later they come back looking absolutely terrified. SOOO for the next two hours I was stuck there with him wittering on about what the cat felt like, etc. They obviously were MAJORLY impressed that he had the guts to actually HOLD it, so he starts turning from Mr. Freaked-Out to Mr. Dig-Me. Bloody hell .....

Easy to say when you don't have that fear. I'm scared to death of bugs, particularly cicadas. I'm afraid of clowns and porcelain dolls. I might even pass out if ever cornered by em. Just b/c YOU don't have the fear doesn't mean that someone else doesn't have a very real fear. Respect it, understand it, and don't force it. You can traumatize someone. I think I'd probably even go as far as to have a heart attack if a clown touched me. I'd straight up have a heart attack and die.
