I am 81 years of age and have always had dogs from and early age of 5. I can honestly say....my last dog of 16 years was a Jack Russell. She was the best of all dogs I have owned. I still miss my Jack Russell for the love she bestowed upon me and the wife.....we miss her deeply !

He just lost our little boy yesterday of 13 years. By far, the best dog ever. Today I don't miss having a dog, I miss him. Such a personality and a friend.

I had the most gentle, beautiful Jack Russell Terrier for 19 years. She passed away just over a year ago. I love these videos because they remind me so much of her ❤️

My dad got a Jack Russell back in 1997 when I was 3 and named him Eddie after Eddie from Frasier. He was a lovely dog. Never growled, not a big yapper, loved cats and lying on my knee. He especially loved my dad. My dad sadly passed away in 2012 from a heart attack. Eddie deeply missed him. A week after the funeral he died at age 14 1/2. I like to think he couldn't live without my dad, and went to join him. It makes me smile.

I had my JRT for 16 years, then lost her to cancer, she was sweet, sassy, a ball of energy, favorite toy was a 8 oz, empty water bottle, the more noise it made, the happier she was, favorite treat, raw cauliflower ( crazy !! right ??) hated doing her business in the rain. Greeted me at the door everyday after work, barking and jumping till I kissed her on her snoot. Lol. She was a snuggler 💕💕 She was a hoot and I miss that Bailey girl everyday!! ❣❣❣

With all of the dogs I've been around, Jack Russell Terriers are best natural comedians in the canine world. Smart as hell and fearlessly protective.

My favorite breed, had them for 26 years. But I got too old to keep up with them, so I don't have any now. My first JRT was my once-in-a-lifetime dog. He's been gone for several years, but I still miss that little fart.

I have a Parson Russell Terrier and he is full of energy and goes nuts every so often to entertain us.

My jack Russell died in Dec. After about a week my husband said find me a puppy. We drove about 6 hours they had 2 left. Brothers. I bought both. Trust me one is great. Two is a blast. They wear each other out. Fun to watch.

I have a JRT puppy who is 16 weeks old. He is the sparkiest little dog I've ever met. He is very friendly to people and dogs and extraordinarily lively. He is intelligent and courageous. My whole family has absolutely fallen in love with him. He is amazingly cute as well. We have met literally hundreds of people in the last 6 weeks and only about 2 or 3 haven't said he's either gorgeous, cute or adorable, sometimes all three. That does mean people are very ready to approach him so it's a win/win. People like him and every person he meets who is kind to him reinforces his view that people are great. He is growing very quickly and I'm looking forward to seeing how he turns out. His father was a very handsome dog and he is shaping up to be just as handsome. I already know he has a great character.

I had a Rottweiler. I felt bad that he was alone when I went to work so I got him a friend…a JRT. They were the best friends and best companions for me.

We rescued one not to long ago, a little girl, named her "Sam". God I love my little jackie girl, she is so lovable, energetic, and just plain makes me laugh and smile every day I'm with her.

My last pet was a Jack Russell we were soulmates. I could look at him a certain way or make a noise with my mouth and he'd know what I meant or what to do. He loved playing fetch with a small green rubber ball. I always had a chew bone in my jacket pocket for him to chew on. He'd be right at my heels always. He was glued to me. Sadly, he passed in the 16th year of his life. I've never completely gotten over his passing going on three years. Whatever jacket I decide to wear for the day I've always been putting his fetch ball and a used chew bone in the right jacket pocket in remembrance of him. I'm at that age where having another pet would not be wise. Chances are I would pass on leaving the pet to be placed in an animal shelter. I don't want that to happen. So, sitting on my porch reminiscing about pets I've had over the years is enough to put a smile on my face and even shed some tears.

So much character is packed into those tiny little dogs..

Apart from the food aggression (BIG no-no), I think that despite these being difficult dogs being filmed on different days, it's pretty safe to say this could easily have been advertised as 'A typical day in the life of any Jack Russell' 😆😆😆 Amazing little weirdos, I miss ours still to this day 😔

We have a Jack Russell/Shih Tzu and he's like the energizer bunny on crack. He is insanely funny and we have never seen or heard him growl, bark, oh yeah, but growl, never. He is quite possibly the world's best cuddler.

I presently have 2 Russell's, 1- Bonnie, she is a Jack (5) and Jake, and he is a 1-Parson (9). Both will allow me to touch and take away a chew or food if I needed to. The reason was if any kids came up to either of the dogs face or food during dinner time, I could trust them never to bite. I started that when they were puppies. And they understand, they will get it back after I praise them for being so good. The dogs on here that show their teeth, while near a chew or food, I would never trust them.. ever. I like the video, it shows the personality of the Russell and the tenacity of them as well. Thinking they are just as big as any.
