Love your videos, you're hilarious! Where I grew up in Canada almost *all* candy cigarettes were in Popeye-branded boxes, and it made sense because he had a pipe - but I don't think it influenced me in any way. By the age I was buying my own candy I already knew that smoking wasn't bad, and I knew that the candy cigarettes were just made of sugar. I was in college before I saw candy cigarettes packaged in fake cigarette boxes and they were chocolate sticks with paper wrappers and looked legit!

Oh gosh, I remember these things, i grew up on mainly the kiddy character candy cigarettes, they tasted like chalk....that and it felt like I was eating on a sugar stick that produced white powder if I played with the stick long enough. Though they were interesting, and I remember me and my friends basically called them cigarettes:} I mainly remember the spider-man version since that's the one I normally got all of the timeXD

12 years later and I still see those every Halloween

I remember the candy cigs and there were these holes in them filled with pixie stix powder and when you would blow and the powder came out but you could only do it once tho i loved these as a kid to bad they dont sell the actual candy cigs

I'm from England. I'm not old enough to remember joe camel or whoever, but when I was little we could buy those candy sticks. Every pack came with a tattoo of whichever cartoon character was on the packet. I also recall if you got some in your packed lunch everyone would think you we're so cool and being kids we would see them as grown up cigarettes! I haven't seen them in this country for a few years now though so maybe they cottoned on to the rise in teen smokers! XD

I agree with this statement. As a young kid, I often imitated 'smoking' with pens, oencils, etc. But when it came to actual smoking, i was never intrigued by it mostly because my father had a stern hand in raising me and would've probably beat the crap out of me had I started to smoke (even though he smokes like a pack a week). Society has changed and so have the norms. People are too lenient with their kids and it sickens me.
