I work cleaning floors at a supermarket after closing. Every Easter they have these things on sale at the front of the store. I have to pass by them every night multiple times when they're out. Looking at them I just KNEW that there was something not-on-the-level about these rabbits. Yes, they told us the truth about them being hollow, but the "too-tallness" was just another gimmick to make it look more appealing to the public.
