Thanks for the help with the lunchboxes! We've been using pottery barn backpacks for years and I make my kids use them for at least 3 years before picking a new one out-- I find that powdered tide, hot water and a stain buster gets them looking brand new for the school year. I've used the pottery barn inserts for the classic lunchboxes, but I think I'm going to switch the dual size for my daughter this year and I hadn't even considered yumbox!

I use Pottery Barn Lunch bag and I've had it for 2 years and still looks good but I do take care of my lunch bag very we'll as my little brother his only lasted 1 year but keep in mind he is in kindergarten and he dose through his backpack as we'll as his lunch bag on the ground as soon as he gets to school but Pottery Barn lunch bags are great for younger and older kids!

Thank you for this review. I order the cold pack size lunch bag but was unsure if it would fine my kids yum box and snacks. Your video gave me confidence in my choice of lunch bag for my kindergartner!

I know the video is older but on the teen backpack you could use a carabiner clip to attach the lunch box.

I’m thinking of the embroidery but realized I might be exposing my kid’s name to strangers with ill intentions. I hope PB would put the embroidery somewhere less noticeable like the shoulder straps.

Yeah. I was going to put my son's name on his backpack and then I thought about stranger danger and decided to put on his lunch bag only which will be placed inside his backpack since he's still in kindergarten and does not have much to carry inside.

This video has helped me out a lot in deciding where to buy a backpack this year. My daughter is going to the 4th grade this year and in the past I have always purchased her backpacks from Justice. I absolutely love shopping there but I haven’t had the greatest experience with their backpacks. Of course they are very cute but as far as durability it’s just not there. Every one I have purchased has torn and they are small. So this year I’m gonna actually try out Pottery Barn because I have heard nothing but great reviews about them. Thanks again for this video!!!!

I am so glad it was helpful! We purchase some clothing for Justice but I never thought to get a backpack from there. I am sure they are pretty though. I am happy to report that the backpacks you see in this video are in AMAZING condition. We jjust gave it a wash in the washing machine a week ago after school ended. We will likely use the same bags for this upcoming school year.

Hi I have the pottery barn how do I click my lunchbox to my backpack I’m going to the 7th grade probably the same grade as your son I agree the backpack isn’t very large but since I have lockers I should be fine to put it all their and to put some of my stuff for homework in my lunchbox

The backpacks and lunch bags are awesome I have a roots backpack and lunch bag. My backpack is blue black grey and white stripe My lunch bag is multi color and black striped

Glad it was helpful to you Lindsey. My 10 year old daughter will be using her bag from last year, this year. It still looks new! I'm going to be getting my 5 year old the Large size for Kindergarten. I know it's going to look big on her, but the school requested a big bag. The Dual compartment lunch boxes are nice, but I've also noticed it's the one that sells out the fastest and isn't always available in all patterns.

I wish they still had this rainbow butterfly print. The only one my daughter likes for kindergarten is the rainbow sparkle, but I keep hearing the sparkle bags don’t hold up as good

Are the cold pack and dual bag lunch boxes insulated? The material looks like it is insulated but I can’t find anything online that confirms it. Or can you put the lunch boxes in the fridge to make them colder? Similar to an ice pack?

Do these light colored bags get dirty? How easy is it to clean them? My kindergartener only wants the light colored PBK backpack and I think it'll look really shabby within the first few days!

The lighter colors do pick up dirt more easily versus the darker colors like the mini blue with rainbows you see here. But I throw it in the wash (on a delicate cycle) and it’s as good as new. The bag as a whole lasts about a year.

I buy them online because I like to personalize them with my child’s name. Not all the prints come in the dual. You’ll have to go through and see which ones are available.

HI- WOULD A FOLDER FIT IN THE MINI BACK PACK? ONLY BECAUSE MY 3 YEAR OLD IS STARTING PRESCHOOL AND THEY ACTUALLY GET HOMEWORK SENT. I FEEL LIKE THE SMALL SIZE MAY BE BIG FOR HER. LET ME KNOW PLEASE!

My son has the Small backback (just started transitional Kinder) and it fits folders, a notebook or two and his lunchbox. Anything smaller (like the mini) is not likely to fit folders.

Ack! I would love to get the dual lunchbox but I measured my panino yumbox and according to those dimensions it won't fit like yours does so I'm not sure if they changed dimensions since you posted this or if it just stretches around it...help!

Hi Kate! Hmm I’m not sure because I’m out of town right now. I can check on this when I get back home but yeah, I’m pretty sure it does. All the lunchboxes fit into the lunch bag if it’s included in my video.

What size yumbox did you use for your son and daughter?

My 9 year old and 11 year old are using the yumbox panino. I also have the classic, which you saw here too (the one with more dividers) but I don’t use it as much as the panino. I find the panino size more initiative. I also really love the easy lunchboxes for when I’m in a rush. I love that it’s dishwasher safe. Let me know what you end up choosing. 👍🏻

Paulina Bouffier I put it in her backpack instead. What I’ve found is that I like the basic classic lunchbox best because it’s just simple but I also like having the option of using the dual for days that I pack more items. 👍🏻
