Für Elise: one of the most famous pieces by composer Ludwig Van Beethoven. This was a pivotal piece of my piano career and this video breaks down the first section of the piece nicknamed as Für Elise.
With any piece, I like to learn hands separate first in order to ensure that I am playing the correct notes with fingers that make sense. In this video, I show just that.
I begin by playing the piece in its entirety, hands together.
Next, I show the right hand (melody) part; going over the notes and fingering.
After the right hand, I go over the left hand. Left hand acts as an accompaniment to the right hand melody. I go over the 4 chords that left hand uses throughout the piece. These chords provide a beautiful harmonic foundation and creates forward motion with how the chords are presented (arpeggiated).
I hope you enjoy learning Für Elise as much as I enjoyed putting together this video!
