I love how devoted she was to keeping her boundaries. Boundaries are very important and she feels like a real person by trying to protect her own mental state.

The fact that her Vision has little fangs around it. And from Neuvi's Profile about Vision.... He really gives her the first Vision he can give....

Furina is great character. But also want to highlight the giant work of a VA. Just how different she sounds after the Story Quests and you feel that anxiety and exhaustion in her voice. Brilliant work of her eng VA.

furina is such a well written character. i love the way she treats her recovery and reincorporation into society.

Sad thing is she's so used at living the immortal life, a normal lifespan would probably feel like a blink of an eye for her 😂

Furina is one of the few english dubs va that I adore and enjoy more than their japanese counterpart. She just captures her personality so perfectly with her acting.🦋

One noble, but tragic trait of Furina is her weak sense of "self": she was already born to be kind, and her five hundred years of selfless sacrifice has engrained the principle "I place the value of any person above my own" into her bones. Even after being freed from the shackles of the prophecy, this almost nonexistent sense of self of hers remains: for instance, she was still blaming herself for the deaths at Poisson, even though she was already doing her best playing her part, all the while ignoring her own suffering in all this. In some sense, apologies and gratitude mean little to her, and might make her feel even more guilty about the people she couldn't help... La vaguelette reflects that noble soul of hers beautifully.

As much as i loved the quest for furina, but the while quest really felt it was just everyone ignoring and disrespecting her boundaries and trying so hard to somehow make it ok, i feel like they could have come up with a better scenario for her to get her vision, maybe just me it realy felt like paimon and traveler were really insensitive pushy jerks to furina, thats paimon as always but i expected better from the traveler, esp since they should know the truth behind everything, furina literally in the quest at some point legit says " can yall get of my case!?" And i felt that 100%, like damn they were on her ass for mo reason, hell it was already wild to me, the traveler even had the mind to go make request furina like that at the beginning like its nothing, like oh hey, can you come do this thing again, that youve done for sevral years that has no doubt permanently scared and traumatized you? Its totally ok, oh you cant? Aw why you being weird about it, its just one time, huhhh, i cannot believe paimon and traveler were being for real!? Like they cant be that emotionally dense and idiotic, i digress if i try to ignore all that, it was really sweet quest, seeing furinas growth, but i wont lie in the back of my mind the whole quest, i just felt icky for furina, with how shes being treated, she really derserved better

When she finally let all the weight off her shoulders, that moment made me cry rivers of tears. I'm not lying, I felt awful without reason yet something clicked and I couldn't stop crying. Genshin really is dark and emotional

A few things I like to point out in Furina's Story Quest. 1. The people who reside in the Court of Fontaine enjoyed Furina's company and even missed seeing her around, for a lot of people who reside in Poisson however, it's quite the opposite. That dividing line would be because the residents of Poisson had it the worst when the prophecized disaster struck. I like that not everyone in Poisson are willing to forgive the Hydro Archon and to an extent Furina that quickly and I think even if they knew the truth and of Focalors' plan they would not take it kindly either because it all lead to the reality that their faith in the Hydro Archon was betrayed because they had expected their god to save all of them from disaster yet they were saved after who knows how many were washed away by it. They were saved, but the damage was already done. I would find it weirder and uncanny if there wasn't this cold realism that Furina would have to live with and that some people will take longer than others to forgive or move on. 2. When Vilmant told Pauleau and his whole trope the truth about how he caused their director's murder, while I admit it was stupid of Vilmant to have kept the whole thing in the dark, Pauleau was even more irrational thinking they could have saved Aurelie especially when the serial killer was clearly not working alone and for all they know has men who are armed and even Gardemeks. Their director told them specifically to leave the city somewhat knowing that person carried such means. 3. This is more towards a lot of comments I have seen but acting normal about the whole thing is the best people can do and people apologizing to Furina or giving them special treatment might be quite counterproductive in her case. Giving someone special treatment knowing what they went through might make that person feel much worse. Because she kept her oath and she did what she had to. I imagine the Traveler does feel like garbage after knowing what Furina had to actively keep a secret but they know to play it by ear and just treat Furina like everyone else. Even if both they and Paimon might sound like insensitive jerks but they are just being themselves. Fontaine has shown Traveler to be more of a goofball than I originally perceived.

I almost get the feeling that Hoyo intended for her to be perceived differently, like the fanbase is perceiving her as the great unsung hero, but Hoyo intended her to be viewed more as a mixed person. Like a lot of the stuff Paimon said would've been more funny or entertaining if Furina was a more mixed character, like if she forgot her oath and was just enjoying the riches and luxury that come with being an Archon and was genuinely negligent until nearly the end. But all the treatment Furina got, like the hatred and snaring remarks, seem in poor taste when given to someone who faithfully stuck to her oath at great cost to herself for 500 years.

She is such a great character, I really love this quest so much

37:45 - 42:00 is just so good. Furina venting out everything after all she had to go through. For me it is the best bits of dialogues in the whole game

A lot of things to say about the whole story quest, but holy hell the animated performance looked smooth and somehow epic at the same time, and I didn't expect Furina singing in French, but it's a happy surprise

The beginning of the quest you can just feel how tired and broken she is. Letting all your emotions out like that can do that to you.

She is finally showing her existential emotions to another person after 500 years.

if you think about it in the fontaine story the ones that had to suffer the most is both focalors/furina, Focalors became the hydro archon when she never wanted the position to begin with. all she wanted was to experience human life yet she was given the large problem that the archon before her left, an impossible task of preventing her people to dissolve in the sea, and in the end the only solution is to sacrifice her life in order save them, furina with the task of playing a role that she cant stop playing no matter how much she prayed and wished to stop, locking her emotions, true self and her freedom deep within her in order to give her mirror self(Focalors) time to complete her plan, 500 years of locked up emotions will and should have broken any human, its like being stuck in your body without being able do and say what you truly feel, yet furina pushed through even though there were times where she faltered and revealed everything to the traveler she couldnt because faltering now would have made her 500 years of sacrifice for nothing. thats why you cant help but wish for furina's happiness because she of all people deserve it the most.

Tbh, Traveler shouldn’t just go to Furina like that after what they did to her. They didn’t even apologize to her yet and here they are like, oh lets go to Furina and ask her to act in this

My opinion changed. After getting a sleep and finishing this quest fresh I actually liked it. At first I was very emotional after archon quest, so I was very toxic. But in the end this quest opens true Furinas self. And now she's don't need to try avoid scene knowing what enjoys. So in the end I happy for her.

Her story touched my heart so much 🥺 this is why I love furina ❤️

It must be said, can someone kick the traveler and Paimon? They are fucking idiots, I could understand it slightly if they didn't know the truth, like most of the playable characters and Fontaine's people, but no, they know and treat her in such a rude way, I honestly hate them a lot in this quest, as well as the attitude Navia cold, yes yes, you lost people, whatever, Furina had to endure 500 years of uninterrupted torture to save people who didn't even thank her, and even now she has to endure the bad looks of some people. I can forgive Navia in a way, and the rest of the cast, just because they were not told the truth, (and I think they should be informed) but if they know, and still treat her like that, they can all go to drink tea very, very far. The only one who is saved is Neuvillette, he is the only one who shows true empathy and appreciation for her and her sacrifice.

At first this quest rubbed me the wrong way, but honestly its probably one of my favorites now. Hear me out: I think the most heartbreaking thing after the events of the Archon Quest isnt just the emotional toll the "performance" took on Furina, but how incredibly low her self esteem is when she is finally free. She could bery easily be angry and vindictive that her great sacrifice has gone unappreciated and that the people of Fontaine turned against her, but instead she is the one down on herself. There are many examples, when she says her colleagues wouldnt want to have anything to do with her, when she tells the traveler that she has no use to anyone even though shes free... Even when Neuv. praises her acting talent and asks if she will return to stage, she says it would be no great shame of she didn't, since there are many other great actors. That's why I think the ending is so great. Not just because Furina takes her first step in regaining her passion for acting, but because she is finally given some form of recognition, by the troupe, the audience, and through the granting of the vision. An important step in regaining her own self-worth and healing from her ordeal. I know alot of people decry the pushiness from Paimon, the Traveler, and Troupe, who sort of drag her, literally, into this, but I do feel like thats what she needed to get her out of the depths.

Probably neuvillet is who gave her the vision he said in the archon quest that he now can controll pneuma and ousia and furina can do this too because he is the one who gave her and also the vision frame looks different No way its celestia furina and neuvillet are good with each other and neuvillet restored his full power from the gnoses that celestia gave to the archons and i don't think celestia are dumb to think that giving a vision to furina which is a normal human can make her be on their side So no other than neuvillet is available to give her and im really happy for our cute furina

My honest opinion, this is one of the worst character story quests, furinas character, her pain, struggles and desires are completely ignored in the favor of some nobody npcs The entire cast was berating furina, the traveller casually becoming friends with her is mega unfiting with what they did, harassing her, forcing her physically to assist to something she didnt want to (and no, her showing up at the guild was curiosity, not an active desire to make part of the play) and completely ignoring her pain, instead granting flawed words and stupidity Paimon as well was the worst thing in the quest, berating furina for everything wirh absolutely no ground or reason, the story quest felt unbearable to go through, and hoyo casually tries to mend it up by giving a vision on some random play that she also had no part in, instead of neuvilette granting her one directly

Cutscene was great but I wish we got more for the vision gifting than just that small piece. Love the detail with the dragon fangs. However overall, things like the Traveler, Paimon, and others just being genuine fucking assholes pissed me off. Furina is still healing but traumatized yet so many people were stomping all over her thoughts and opinions and just guilt-tripping. Really just left a sour taste after the quest was finished.

Can't believe it took until her story quest until she finally got some much needed screen time. (not counting act 5 because she should had some before hand)

Furina's VA did amazing. She basically has three voices: Her goddess act to the people, her goddess act those close to her and her real self (and her focalor voice but that isnt Furina still if you count that thats four voices). Having to perform those voices is amzing but whats more amazing is the bleding of those voices. You can still somewhat hear her goddess act sometimes surface. Like at 55:50 where defaults to her goddess mode because it became her way of defending herself from anxiety and stressful situations but you can hear her real self in there. It's just the way the VA is able to convey such vulnerability and acting the act of trying protect herself from the pain and anxiety is just S tier voiceacting
