To be fair, the trailers for Fury Road showed off that movies more prominent CG scenes as well. There was more CG in it than people would believe, but it was used mostly where it wouldn't get noticed (i.e. world background and compositing).

My thoughts exactly. I realise Fury Road had CGI too, but my eye is detecting a huge amount of it in this trailer which takes away the immersion. Either they have shot an increasing amount of action scenes dependant upon it or they have had the budget or minds behind it to match the quality. Still, I expect it will be a decent follow up.
@treytilley333 3 ай бұрын
@@Jcee4this is about 50 more million than Fury road coming out to a 225 mill budget. My best guess is that besides the production hell which Fury Road had some as well, there’s still going to be way more practical and the shots George wants will have more CG as well. Going bigger will have more noticeable CG but George can make it work, hopefully. One of the coolest scenes in Fury Road was the huge sand storm and lightning and the CG was noticeable but it worked so well.
@Jcee4 3 ай бұрын
@@treytilley333 True, and I've seen many expensive films with poor special effects executions, which is why there can be a lot more to it. Some of the scenes in the trailer look great, but many others are obvious green scenes from a visual experience, with the compositions showing obvious tell tale scenes. The best best special effects in films are the ones that the viewer doesn't notice, but its becomes acceptable in the movies these days with an exceptional few.

You watched THIS tailor and wrote this comment. Max isn't in the movie at all, he was hardly in Fury Road, hence why it sucked ass and this will too.

@jjide76 yea last one was ok not trying to knock Tom hardy but his max was not up to par with Mel's Max, Mel Gibson really did a good job with that character

amazing how easy it is to keep 50+ year old cars running after the apocalypse 😝 but i sure do love the mad max reboot and looking forward to seeing this in the theater!!

@@gospelofrye6881 You think you're so clever. what about the break fluid?
@apb38 3 ай бұрын
Its actually one of the biggest plot holes of the movie including all the fresh rubber tires every vehicle has.
@gospelofrye6881 3 ай бұрын
@@scottsommers2068 You mean the brake fluid? They make it out of castor beans. Grow the beans at the Citadel and send them over to Gastown for processing. (DOT2 brake fluid is castor oil based). DOT3 brake fluid is glycol ether based so we can imagine Gastown has the gear to make that.
@gospelofrye6881 3 ай бұрын
@@apb38 Tyres are guzzlene-based synthetic rubber made in Gastown. The rubber that looks fresh in the movie is just like noticing a stunt double is doing the stunt - in-universe the tyres aren't that fresh.

Furiosa: The Ghostbusters 2016 of the Mad Max universe. The part where Zeus accidentally flicked all of Chris Hemsworth's clothes off? Hilarious!
