Fight 4: Violet Mizutsune VS Furious Rajang
Note:
- Both monsters have EQUAL HP to keep fights fair.
- All Monsters have lowered HP (keep fight length reasonable).
- All other stats are all based on default values provided by Capcom
- We also take no responsibility for any unusual A.I behaviour, as these are variables we cannot adjust.

This was SO close! Furious Rajang had a true contender, it started off rough for Violet Mizutsune, at first, but near the end it had a nice lead health wise, it wasn't until it got tired did Furious Rajang close that gap, and barely got that win.

WTF, THIS WAS FREAKIN' EPIC! My favorite fight in the tournsment so far. Rajang started humiliating Mizu, but suddenly it enraged and the bubbles destroyed the monke. This is by far the closest fight I've ever seen in MH.

That was an amazing fight! Mizu had a rough start at the beginning with how it got knocked down almost immediately, but was able to make a comeback. Both of them were very fast and were more than capable of dodging each others attacks, which just made it very fun to watch. This probably the closest fight I have seen, because even though Rajang won, he only survived on 1 hp and I think that's the first time I have ever seen that happen.

DAAAAMNNNN!!! This fight got me screaming all over the house!!! I don't know what's scarier,V.Mizu almost pulling a comeback or F.Rajang having enough raw power to overcome that comeback. Definitively most thrilling fight of the tournament until now.

Man, what an epic & surprisingly close fight. I was on the edge of my seat at the end there. But after what I saw in the first half I knew the furious Rajang would win. It seemed like nothing was slowing him down.

Those clutch bubble combos and special nearly got him the win, but Rajang’s consistency got him the win. High damage vs constant consistent damage in this case.

激昂ラージャンVS紅蓮滾るバゼルギウスの争いは、激ラーが紅蓮バゼルの紫色の部分を殴って上手い具合に誘爆できれば何とか勝利をもぎ取れそう。実際に紫ミツネと紅蓮バゼルの戦いでは上手く誘爆できた紫ミツネが勝ってたし。逆に言うとそれ以外の正攻法で勝つのはくっっっっそ厳しいと感じる

Wow, what a crazy fight! I'd argue that this was literally a tie, they hit each other at the exact same time! The part of me that was rooting for mizu even wants to say that he totally didn't get hit at the end there and should've kept the 1HP 😉😁

This tournament has proved that variants are possibly stronger than Rare Species. Espinas is the only sub-species going strong but we’ll see because it has to face magnamalo

@mywestsideify I would say that it does not prove with absolute certainty; because we did make all monsters HP equal. This means some monsters like bazel and violet were HP nerfed to keep that tournament fair/entertaining

After watching that intense fight, I was a bit let down noticing Rajang health only started decreasing after the first tick of burn damage...not the two explosions to rajangs face before that. Rajang may be the winner in this bout. My personal winner is Violet Mizu. He made a good comeback after that health gap.

I think it should've been a tie since technically the violet explosion in the end killed furious but because monsters can't kill each other it left it at 1 health

It's just super sad, that once Mizu isn't a sloopy boy, he just didn't get a chance to shine more(. But anyway, good fight. There was so much dodges, my jaw is just dropping sometimes. Can you make terminated fights? I think, it would be awesome to see lucent and violet or violet vs gold)

@@Doomguyhunter1 them nukes gonna be a huge problem for scorned; but he is a master at dodging. Having watched flaming fight lucent and apex diablos; man the sheer aggression and combos can be overwhelming at times. But scorned seems to be favourite in the tournament

I think here the win goes to Mizu because at the end the punch of the Rajang dont hit the Mizutsune and Mizu's attack hits the Rajang, but meh, it was pretty close and a good fight

This was super close Spoiler warning for those who wanna go in blind If Rajang had gotten hit by just 1 more bubble earlier in the match, Vitzu would have won. It looked like sometimes the bubbles either targeted Mizu or the ground instead of Rajang

I think if Vitzu is stunned while creating homing bubbles, it loses focus and instead aims at the ground closest.

@@gypceroy6056 Thats the unfortunate things about these fights. They still target the hunter. I wish there was a mod to make the monsters AI only focus on other monsters. I know there was one in world. You could have pet monsters that would only fight the opposing monster.

In this fight rajangs advantage was its ability to make fast attacks, and continuously stun and knock down mizu. Mizus advantage was it's fire damage and agility, which means it dealt more damage overtime than rajang and was hard to hit when it started using its better attacks.

Ooh OOh Ooh... That last blow from Rajang didn't take it, Mizu exploded in his back huh, that attack of his never hit kkkkkk I was thrilled when Mizu opened up an advantage at the end, Ult took her out of Rage Mode, if it hadn't happened, Mizu would have won with the bubbles.

Tbh your positioning gave rajang a lot more openings than mizu in the first half of the fight, and yet it was still a tie despite you considering rajang the winner. Id say mizu wouldve won more often than not.

The only real loser in this fight is Seething Bazelguese. To me, this is more of a draw rather than a victory for Rajang. From what I could tell they both hit 1 hp within the same second, Violet just hit it faster. Regardless, Rajang has done everyone in this tournemant a favor. Early bird advantage and he still barely made it through.

wow i wasnt epecting to be SO CLOSE. the rajang had faster damage output but mizutsune had the stronger attacks so it closed the gap wen rajang stopped putting on pressure. attack speed vs powerful damage

Violet Mizutsune is mechanically similar to Molten Tigrex in that as it loses health, it "warms up" and attacks more agressively the less health it has. Violet Mizu definately would've won if it's bubbles actually targeted Furious Rajang and not the invisible player in between them.

Definitely could have been multiple of matches filmed in order to get this one. I remember one time Monster Slayer Squad said that Safi beat Alatreon multiple times while filming the Safi vs Ala fight, but he picked the one where Alatreon one because he liked it more and it was closer.

@Goji there are so many factors that play into the quality of each video; this one definitely was one of the harder one; a reason being because monsters like violet are harder to work with. This fight although not perfect was the best one; as i thought i had better position compared to the other recordings.

@@MonsterSlayerSquad Makes sense. Plus, it must be hard trying to get Rajang over to Mizu and also have Mizus homing bubbles hit at the same time. Plus, in reality people shouldn't be getting mad over this. Its not even lore accurate, and its just something to watch to have fun. The only time I would have a problem with seeing multiple attempts and using the best one would be on tournaments. Sense Otherwise thats kinda unfair. However, I do think a best two out of three system could work. First monster to win twice is confirmed the victor. Then you show the best fight of that monster winning.

@@acidic_7 great point, having done this fight a few times over; rajang does win more often; but we have to remember that for this tournament HP has been made equal just for this tournament (give everyone an equal chance to win) so technically violet was nerfed as it has significantly more HP.

It seemed to me like Violet hit harder here so I assume it’s the latter. And yeah, I can see why you would pick this one, it has good moments, even if I was rooting for Violet. :P

Why do violet mizu's attacks do 3x the damage of rajangs? The heat seeking bubbles and many of it's normal attacks did like 400-600+ damage to rajang (plus fire blight), while none of rajang's attacks did over 200 damage lol, even his ultimate ground slam move did like 60 damage @ 14:44 . Despite the massive difference in attack values, rajang still won due to it being way more aggressive and putting in so much more work 🤣

This fight could not have been any closer, I’m surprised Mizu lost but this goes to show how powerful Rajang truly is! If Mizu hadn’t of ran out of stamina I think it would of won this fight! Still that was truly wonderful to witness, I’m curious who’ll come out on top between Scorned and Espinas, they’ve both proven to be fierce contenders so far!

I’m shocked rajangs breath attack did nothing to Mitzune cause it hit him and it’s health wasn’t fazed

I hate violet mizu. Is so annoiyng and fast , i simply can't defeat without using a fast weapon. Glad that rajang win even if was for not see again bazel vs mizu.

Not gonna lie the performance from violet was embarrassing to watch, for the first chunk of the fight it just stood there like an idiot until it remembered "oh yeah this is a fight I should probably attack him" but by then it was far to late.

It was literally down to the point though. If he put in one extra hit he’d have won. Furious rajang is just must much more aggressive by design. Misitsune isn’t that type of monster.

@@mannyms6678 The reason Mizu lost this fight wasnt because it wasnt as aggressive, but because the homing bubbles targeted the invisible hunter and not the monster. If one more homing bubble hit, mizu would have won.

@@acidic_7 true but it’s also true that mitsu was relatively passive throughout the beginning of the match. He was constantly moving instead of attacking and that style left a lot of openings that Rajang was able to take advantage of.

That was very goofy, unsatisfied. I thought all the rare species would win but no. Why is flaming espinas in the tournament. In frontier, he was just a stronger version of normal espinas and now they buffed. Monster hunter add the rest of the rare species to win.

Espinas itself is an Elder Dragon Level monster. It's obvious that Flaming, being a subspecies, would be around rare species Level.
