Why the hell didn't they just bring a drumset for Vinnie when they set up this interview? Imagine how bad ass it would've been to hear Satriani and Vinnie Paul jam.

Jeremy Freeman I agree with you and Connie. I loved Dimebag; both as a musician and as a person. I thought he was a magical mix of a clown, a genius, childish, extremely kind and sincere. I don't like to think about it all for too long.

LOL no freaking way dude. Satriani is faster, more technical, more educated (musically) and more soulful. Metal is one genre, and Dime was a master at that... but joe is so much more dynamic in that he can incorporate jazz, blues, classic rock and hard rock into his music and absolutely dominate. Listen to his solo on "memories" and "crushing day". Pantera is without a doubt my favorite metal band, but Joe is my favorite musician.

It's fucking bizarre that Vinnie (I'm sure the other members were the same) reflects Pantera as though the 80s never happened. "Cowboys From Hell was our first album", WTF "We had 14 amazing years together." Try 21? And Phil joined in 87, if I'm not mistaken, so 17 years with the lineup that we're all familiar with.

I wonder why Vinnie, being a drummer, didn't ask joe about the pinch harmonics, asking him about the difference in technique, between joe and his brother...it's a curious topic don't you think?? I guess Vinnie was thinking about steaks...god bless him, both brothers, amazing people, incredible musicians....legends... I am a grown man, but a cried when Dime was murdered, and I cried when Vinnie paul died.. the only thing that made me stop crying a few seconds after, was that they would finally be together up there, or down there, i don't know, i guess is down there, where the music is loud and heavy, and there is no rules, same place where randy Rhoads is, Jimi Hendrix, Janis , Stevie Ray, Duane, and all the good ones... they will always be remembered
@pitthefrit6292

because Vinnie knew that his brother was a better player in every aspect and not interested in Joes opinion about pinch harmonics etc. Not to mention that he is a drummer and not nerdy at all

Hey Joe, where you going with that stupid reunion question? Seriously, what was he thinking? Never mind that Vinnie got that same dumb question from every interviewer ever and probably countless fans too. Plus, Joe's a musician, he should know better. Esp considering the way Vinny's brother died. Common sense, if a band decides to do a reunion, THEY WILL MAKE IT KNOWN! They're not gonna do it because people ask them about it. That just aggravates a person who has their own reasons. Besides, like Vinny said, artist need to look forward and grow
