keeping your hands and thumbs closer together with the score line between your thumbs helps the score to run and break in one go usually. Think of breaking a bar of chocolate :)

cutting circles looks quite dificult as you do it, they end up dented and its not a clean cut, my suggestion to you to make it perfectly cleaned up at one process is after making a circle with cutter use a torch to heat the edge then brushed the line cut with oil 3m and see how it comes apart or proceed to separate bumping under. I have cut this way more than 1000 pieces easier and in less steps, if you master this technique.

What type of foam are you using to put your glass on when scoring?

Thanks for the tutorial. I too was surprised you didn’t use running pliers, but each to their own. I too ‘create 3D scenery from photos but use many more firings. I’d be interested in trying your method. Do you not get air bubbles when covering the ‘higher’ level frit with clear? Do you fuse 3 separate layers then fuse them all together? I’d be very appreciative if you would share with me. Thank you. Gay

When you first fused the glass its on, there was not a 6cm layer all over so how does it fuse in the same shape and not try to achieve a 6cm shape? Is it because you did a tack fuse or something?

I see you have the Morton Glass cutting "grid system" table top work surface on your bench. I have watched their company's instructional videos, (IMHO:, though their tooling might work well once One masters the set ups, I think that their videos are AWFUL to watch! TOTALLY BORING, and somewhat confusing as to their attributes, and advantages). Do you like the Morton Glass tools, and, or, do you know of something, or anything that you would recommend for doing basic glass work?!... Thanks!!!

Doesn't have to be that difficult getting the circle. My students will watch these videos where the tapping is out of control and I have to show them a better way. You don't need to do that as a matter of course.
