Designing magnetic paddle shifters for Sim Racing, with an ultra-smooth ball bearing mechanism, and very satisfying sound.

just wanted the object files you used on the videos, like the shaft and ball bearings or a tutorial on how to make them, just started learning fusion and I don't know how to make them by myself

I do not know if in fusion 360 will be the same, as I come from SolidWorks but, have you tried dimensioning two sketches directly instead of dimensioning a construction line between them? It would save you a lot of time

Hi could this work with a potentiometer, instead of a switch ? How could I incoperate a potentiometer in this design, Thanks in advance! love your videos!

Hey! What would be the application for a potentiometer? Do you want to retrieve the amount of pressure on the shifter?

@@fredmakes2556I suppose he's talking about the potentiometer to use it as a clutch paddle.

With the magnet on the paddle, it would be better to use a hall effect style sensor, and then it could just be mounted within the PCB/Base of the wheel rather than exposed on the shifter base.
