Hi, I want to share a story with you related to this song So the first time I listened to the song, I was sitting with my dog trying to make him feel better as he was not well and in pain, he hadn't even slept the night before.. as the chorus came, he came and curled up right next to me, and after like a minute or 2 closed his eyes and went to sleep.. I then played the song on loop.. Thank you for helping my furry baby relax and feel at ease. Your voice literally took his pain away. You have my gratitude ❤️ Also, great song! I know Leslie will never see this, but I am so overwhelmed with emotion that I need to get this off my chest... Leslie and whom ever else worked on this song has saved my life. Literally. I have been chronically ill for 2 years. Bed ridden for over a year. I wont burden you with the horrific details. I am 33 years old and cannot bathe or walk anymore without assistance. I went 64 days without consuming anything accept water. I was ready to give up... All i did was sleep. Having dream terrors about my own death. I was weak, lathargic and couldnt lift my own head. Everyrhing was so loud and bright that i couldnt even listen to music or look at my phone screen... Or any screen for that matter. Then Leslie posted this song and I shake type through tears when I proclaim that this song saved my life. My husband saw it and it sounded to him like the type of music i listen to so he came in, sat on our bed beside me and played the song. I was half concious. A state i was in when I wasnt sleeping. To put in perspective. In the 64 days i couldnt eat i went from 420lbs to 354lbs as of monday. Pretty traumatic to lose 66lbs in 2 months. Anyways, my husband played the song and halfway through i started crying... Then when the violin played, i cried even harder and i opened my eyes. I cant begin to explain how or why this song touched me so deep. Every note, melody, lyric, Leslie's voice... It woke me up. I now listen to this on repeat. Everyday. For weeks now. It brings me so much comfort. Like a security blanket. It got me mentally through my endo/colonoscopy on monday even... And even to their surprise I told them the same thing. I played this song over and over and over and i can emotionally, mentally and physically take on anything. I listened to it as I sipped broth for a week and transitioned to chicken now strictly protien shakes now that we know whats going on inside me. I listen to it on repeat just to use my walker to get to where i need to go in the house. I was listening to her for my first shower(i was getting bed baths) in 2 months and i didnt faint. I got dizzy and my blood pressure went up a couple times but dang it this song held my attention and got me through it. Listening to Leslie sing these beautiful lyrics lifts me up and when I hear it, I am no longer afraid. I face the pain, i face the obstacles and I face my mentality knowing I may not make it through this. I know my days may or may not be numbered at this point. Its been made clear now, but even if my life isnt going to be as long as I thought...thank you Leslie. Thank you to the team that helped work on this project. Yall saved my life in so many ways and took part in inproving the quality of my life in the time I do have on this earth. Thank you so much and God bless you Leslie and each and everyone of you that took part in this.
