All I can say is, if yall don't go to the club, drink, or turn up for that matter, yall won't like this. I was the same way with Chief Keef n em, but when I started to go to the club more often to have a few beers and other shit, I realized why people like listening to Future and Fetty Wap n em. Stop trying to compare them to rappers like Biggie and Wu-Tang. Future specifically makes music to turn up to, not trying to spit 16 bars n shit. That's what some of yall don't get. We know it's not real rap; it's club music, specifically shit you would play at the club

It's okay if it only plays in the club but this type of shit is the only thing in the radio and on every black vine. There is no variety on the air. This shit is at the forefront of hiphop culture because of that.

+12054life EXACTLY^. I'm in my 30s, I grew up on 90s boom-bap NYC hip-hop, and that sound is still my bread and butter. But this new trap stuff is about having a good time--there's it's place. Plus it thumps on the subwoofers. There's enough room in hip-hop for many sounds.

But when it's time to go hang out with some friends, drink and dance, then we're bumping Future, Chief Keef, and others to turn up to. But again, the reason the radio plays music like this now a days is because it's mainstream. It's what's hot right now, sadly. But I agree with you
