yk. realistically speaking. they’d all be dead right now. dkt doesn’t need upper moons to devour humans because he has enough powers and he doesn’t need them to find the blue spider lily because he’s immune to the sun. he can just straight up show up to the corps and kill them all at day time if he pleases.

But also, the corps would want to kill him or make him a cure again, and as we saw when Nezuko was bleeding, She was holding him back and Tanjiro didn't attack her, that means he was fighting back, so DKT can't attack the corps at a time because Tanjiro is still in there, and for the Uppermoons, probably not for power but to hide, as if he orders the Uppermoons to bring him someone, or anyone they kill to him, so no corps member sees him, and for also the Uppermoons to kill corps members because Tanjiro would insist and hold his body back, Muzan doesn't want that so he just made Uppermoons to do that. That's my theory-

Canonically he was turned human again before he could do major damage...I feel like the DKT AU's are their own independent thing. It's not necessarily bound by facts, but by the author.
