Baltimore-based synth-pop heroes Future Islands are known for their energetic live performances and anthemic melodies. Their 2017 album “The Far Field” took them to new heights and festivals around the world. Between Coachella appearances, they performed an intimate set for KCRW at Apogee Studio.

Sam is great example of what a true performer is supposed to be. He gives a performance every show; his stage presence and body language speak so much more loudly than the lyrics he's reciting. Truly a powerfully moving experience to witness these boys doing their thing. Thanks Future Islands

This amazing & unique band is way too globally under rated. Over 1000 live shows. Not many mainstream bands can even come close to that number or the sound of these talented individuals. Sams emotion & stage presence are on a level of their own and in my opinion no one can even come close. Im mind blown everytime i hear this band, love them 🤯🤯🤯

Love love love Future Islands - their music has helped me celebrate the ups and pulled me through my lowest points over the last 8 years. Haven't seen them live for for a couple of years - really hope to catch up with one of their amazing concerts in 2023 - every performance probably one of the best anyone will be lucky to ever see.

This is such an intense performance Sam I could feel your soul just beseeching us to hear/feel the grief, joy, desire, love, fear, pride, anger, every moment we were there with you and the band transfixed by the music and show; your stage presence is phenomenal!!! Now I can see why I said no to a couple proposals and a few engagements I sabatoged subconsciously..I was looking to feel this passion and I won't settle for less. I deserve it. My dad gave/gives it to my mom for more than 50 years and I'd rather be alone than settle for complacency. I loved my best friend and he knew my soul and died and it broke my heart. I deserve to see this amount of raw unbridled passion and to feel it again. Amazing energy and talent!! 😍💖

Middlesbrough is my birthplace. I have lived in Canada for 37 years and have seen these guys a few times here. Are they amazing or what? They are playing here in Toronto in July......off to see them yet again. Sam has quite the back story.

Es todo un pedazo de toque, la bateria suena hermoso. Como un reloj, mi total admiración para el baterista. Sam con su voz e interpretación en cada canción nos enamora su personaje en tarima. Toda la banda, el bajista es tremendo y el de los teclados ni se diga! La mejor banda que he conocido y de la cual estoy enamorado desde hace 10 años.
