A lot of people felt that BOYS WILL BE BOYS brought the value of the album down but from a male perspective, I felt like it did the exact opposite. Artists like Dua are expected to just sing about boys and sex and love but there are more important topics and subjects in the world that need to be brought up in society and I’m extremely glad she did that.

I understand what you’re saying but she could’ve done it with a little more care an nuance. Using the word “mansplain” just made me cringe and “boys will be boys but girls will be women” is just a terrible lyric I’m sorry, generalizations like that just BEG for criticism. New Rules is a much better example of how you can take shots at male behavior without it being too preachy and heavy handed with the messaging.

@@ghostin3274 actually ariana saved women's career in the industry but Sw and TU,N were kinda a mix of Pop with a heavy R&B and Trap influences on them and weren't real pop albums especiallyTU,N . Dua's album is a complete pop album. That's why most people say she saved pop.

it’s incredible how much work she put into all of this, never seen an artist handle criticism so well. for a sophomore album this is extremely impressive, it’s insane how much she improved. definitely deserves album of the year in my opinion, if it doesn’t win then it better go to after hours.

Taylor handle criticism so well too. She created an empire with it, like literally number one songs, Grammy winner album and one of the most successfull tours in the history because of a snake jaja... and don't get me wrong, i love Dua as much as her, but i'm just clearifying a point.

And that's what made her different from anyone else. Her improvement is literally so iconic that no artist, at least who i know, can do what she did.

Future nostalgia is a catchy album, with 80s vibes, and every song has a different type of pop, all are catchy and have dance vibes, which makes the album gain attention and be so good

Her new stuff isn't groundbreaking or something we haven't heard before HOWEVER, she is bringing back dead sounds from 80's, 90's and mix it with 2020's making a new sound. Its like how mom jeans and middle-parted-hair died out during the 2000's but was brought back to life by the fashion world. Dua is bringing the old sounds back but perfected it so people in the new generation would actually enjoy it.

i wasn’t a huge dua lipa fan before, and when she released don’t start now i loved it. however, after listening to physical and watching de mv i was instantly hooked because it was the best pop song i had heart in a while and i adored the retro feel it had to it. since then i was looking forward for her album release and i was not disappointed at ALL. i love it soso much in all aspects and i also love the cover art and the videography of her recent videos. i cannot actually rank them from best to worst because there’s not a single one i dislike. my favorites (which are A LOT) are physical, break my heart, love again, levitating, don’t start now, pretty please, future nostalgia and boys will be boys(lyrically)

I like Dua because she does pop music in a UNIQUE way. There's a confidence in her sound that is refreshing, unlike many mainstream pop artists.

You know you have quality music when you can cycle through albums, and like parts of it, but as you keep listening to it again and again and again, you hear sounds and understand things you didn't notice before and appreciate it all the more because of it. It's SUCH longevity

usually space out album releases since they are longer videos (aka more watch time). when i do music video reaction, the videos are not as long so i like to put it with another video to get the watch time up! plus, if someone clicks on another video on your channel after watching one, youtube sees that as someone essentially “binging” your channel and will recommend it to other people!
