Love the old school way you are doing the metal fab on the Jeep, most people buy those parts as you said, but it`s a lot more satisfying to do it yourself. That top has got to be pretty rare. We always saw wooden hand made tops people would do on those for winter, never looked right.

The field looks to be quality feed. Make hay and bales make more money. Big enough field should produce around 500 bales. If you don't want to mess with it find someone that will and go halves on the crop. Field of dreams. I like the property nice setting looking forward to seeing what it turns out to be. That old Jeep is really cool looking. Neat that you have a matching trailer for it.

You gotta wear a mask when spraying chemicals! Also, awesome plans- looking forward to seeing all of it come together. Roof raising is an excellent idea. Bobcat w/ jackhammer attachment- save your back! New slabs in all 3 places and then throwdown vap barrier before that plywood, tongue and groove boards- you won't regret it. The level floor will be so much better especially when doing all handtool woodworking (per one of my former mentors- he pointed out that old school cabinet, furniture, piano makers always build on a level floor and should always build a table, large furniture, etc upside down (presumably on the level floor...)

Great video as always. I’d really recommend disassembling the garage and rebuilding it the way you want. I think it would easier, cheaper, and better. Good luck with whatever you decide on.

Straw hat, love it. I discovered the utility of wearing a straw hat late in my construction career and regret not having one sooner. Keeps the sun from cooking ya, and from getting cancer later in life on your ears nose neck etc. Nothing I ever thought much about until older guys in church had to get chunks removed by the skin doctors due to a life spent working outdoors! Now, I pay closer attention!

Love the property. Love the ideas (mostly). It's a huge portion of the future life, what you are proposing but you seem to be one of those I have no doubt will accomplish it. I will share one comment on the Oak Tree. Just as you showed and mentioned how quickly the pastures will get overtaken by saplings, undergrowth and trees, I believe the Oak will create headaches quickly as it continues to grow. Water sealing it will be a chore and it's branches above the roof's may become a hassle. All in all, I could imagine you wishing you had eliminated the Oak to start w/ and all the hassles it may create as time goes on. I've built structures that incorporate trees and am talking from my own experience. But, I will say they are cool for a while :) Thanks for sharing. Will be along for the ride and good luck w/ it all, Sincerely ........................................

What sort of crops grow in your area? Here in Central Illinois we would rent out that field to a corn and bean farmer. Some young guy in YT taught me that you can never have too much passive income.

Love your old Willys. I had a 47 for ten years but then sadly after I restored it, I had to sell if for lack of storage space. I also had a cool hard top that went to the landfill because no one wanted to give me $300 for it. Sad. I do have a 2014 Wrangler but I miss the old Willys. Love your channel.

You might want to check into livestock. Check up on them every once in a while, maybe move them every other day and keep the fields eaten down, plus the return on them, plus tax advantages. It could be your "hobby farm". I'd definitely plant a small orchard, you'll love doing that in 5 or 6 years! Enjoy it!

Just an idea,but the concrete pad would be great for a small sawmill

A two-post would be nice, if you needed it every day. If you're more geared to regular maintenance and don't mind getting dirty, a set of drive-on ramps that'd be set out when needed and then stacked in a corner would do better. There's a set (If I can find the link) you can build out of 2X12s, 4 ft sections.

Another great video! I have watched many of your videos but probably not all (yet) and I was wondering if you have ever talked about your background and education/training. You seem to have a very good grasp on a lot of different trades.

Just subbed because I was impressed at your ability to dream and then totally follow through. Your knowledge shows in the products you build...a true definition of a craftsman and entrepreneur....might I suggest you take on a young apprentice to help in the simpler tasks in the shop and out at the property while he learns. Of course finding someone who is honest, trustworthy, and has the same work ethic as you do would be like striking gold and worth the effort

Wow, move or change the trusses, raise or rework the walls, bust up the slab, add a new slab, add new lean-to wings. Sounds like a whole new building to me. I can see why you would do it that way given you can do the projects one at a time. But maybe a new building would be more cost and time effective? Or keep the existing building as is for storage.

The walls look pretty done. Don't know if fixing it up would be cheaper than rebuilding. I could see lifting the roof high enough to put in a crane

why not plant the field with wild flowers for the bees and you could make a bunch of bee hives for it. save the bees and have a gorgeous view :) On a different note, i would watch anything you thought worthy of a video , i love them all.

I find your videos on all ur channels soothing, motivating & educational. Looking forward to the tiny house completion & jeep restoration. Do the Never ending projects help keep you motivated to earn income or do they ever feel overwhelming? The videos show what working with your hands and learning a trade or 2 or 3 can get you! Don't think I've asked, but what are your 5 year goals for passive income? 10 year goals?

(What to do with that field) I say; you should get into selfsustaing permaculture, and plant it as a "food forest." One that can supplement your family's consumption/surplus. Set it up so that it just grows and you don't have to fuss with it, harvest from it, or don't... maybe think about adding some pigs and getting an agricultural exemption (reduced property taxes are nice).

Could you make it a second level upstairs? Even more space. Play area for kids or something.

That sounds like some great plans. I made a comment earlier.I had to come back to my comment because I failed to listen to your plans I just went off half-cocked. Tiny House builds in your future? They are in demand right now. I want a smaller house then what I live in now. A townhouse that is tied in with a HOA. They are a pia. 650-800 sq ft range. There are several channels that I follow where families have chosen to recycle older double-wide mobile homes. Maybe you could look into that market.

Could you possibly jack up the whole building and build a foundation wall around the bottom?
