ugly cars (japanese sports cars excluded of course), gas shortages, almost no personal computers, definitely no internet, Reaganomics, and the threat of global nuclear war... I love the music but I wouldn't want to actually live in the 80s again :/

Like Ferrari F40, Testarossa, Ferrari 288 GTO, and Ferrari 328, Lamborghini Countach, Porsche 944, Porsche 928, Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2, Porsche 959, that era's Mercedes' AMG range, GM G-Body cars like the Camaro, Firebird, Buick Grand National GNX, Group B rally cars such as the Ford RS 200, Audi Quattro, Lancia Delta S4... DeLorean DMC-12, Foxbody Mustang, BMW M3 E30... Ugly? You had the internet in the 80s, in the form of command line bulletin boards. You connect your computer to your phone, dial the number for what you wanted to connect to and you'd be able to chat with others on the bulletin board and also send messages. Fascinating stuff. I have also been using Windows 2.0 lately (which released in 1987).
