3rd time is the charm! Not saying there won't be another AI winter, but if it is soon it won't be for lack of computing/storage as AI is one of the few field sustaining post-moore advances (especially in GPU and other specialized processors)

I think instead of nodes people need to make cells, Then interlink them. Like the visual cell takes an input, so an input cell is like a frames per second like on a video app. Synchronous units of cells. To form thread of visual information. This maps visual input to a VR world so we have distance metrics in the brain. You then do calculations on the VR world, which represents the real world. So you can then feed that into other cells like movement, words, reasoning. Hearing cell maps sounds to words, this then feeds into memory, memory cells link to sounds, visual, sentences, movements, This inputs to reasoning, Reasoning generates outputs like words to voicebox, movement to body and feeds back into memory. If you can get each cell for inputs working and mapping to VR world and memory you can make better ai , Governments need to fund this science and link it up with robotics, I dont think they enough people working on it who are talented. I think people can do all sorts of reasoning ai programs if you have an input structure and standard Visual VR world to work with, Thats what we have for seeing, There is no other way we could judge distance, apart from maybe sound helping us decide on a direction, even sound needs to map to the VR world for direction

@@DerekFolan Glad you replied super quick. It's strange how this comment section itself is sparse almost feels like there's been some sort of machine uprising. I think your comment is really awesome. You said we could map visual input to VR for depth perception. That made me think of something crazy. Removing the duality. Going away from computing based implementation. I'm trying to not add too much detail yet because I don't exactly have strong opinions about a certain idea or thought yet. Hope this makes sense. PS You're quite smart. What field are you into?

@@goofybear574 I'm an average man. Well if you can run all these semi subconscious intelligences in the background, like breathing, or walking, then you could do various calculations on other things like visual input. I suppose for humans the image of the world is conscious and subconscious is something we use for calculations, often semi conscious for outputs in that we can do changes to what we learned using choice like slow breathing or walk different. For movements memory of previous movement clearly allows for faster reaction or choice selection for movement output, narrowing the output choice. I think computers could go beyond humans and use artificial VR environments to improve memory training for improved reaction times and training time. Match the ai training environment to a real world environment scenario and we could make super ai, like if ai robot footballers learned football in vr football before playing in the real world as robots. Real world is slower, vr you can speed up time and do more scenarios including having imperfect robotic joints.
@goofybear574

@@DerekFolan sure sounds exciting. So we'd probably be paying companies that make those robots if they start competing in the football leagues and replace human players entirely. I'd watch that. VR yes, if done right, I mean transfer of training would be essential. Fidelity would be the main issue that keeps VR but AR can beat the fidelity issue. The involuntary movements too are just signals parts of the brain send to muscles right so then if we figure out a way to do the same sort of interaction between a neuralink sort of device and the brain without causing overload or signal overlapping, we could potentially be reinventing humans

I saw your video on photonic computing and really liked it. Could you please do a video about reversible computing ? As you correctly pointed out, performance (ultimately FLOPS/Watt) is a huge bottleneck on software applications, especially AI and revcomp seeks to remove that bottleneck for good. That field is hugely important and will probably have the biggest impact on the singularity but right now, it seriously lacks attention and funding. I'm trying to get singularity-adjacent youtubers aware of that fact so that they can start talking about it.

Expectation disappointment and fear. We kind of do the same thing with humans, so it is no wonder we treat AI the same.

Nice video explaining AI history. It would be great if we consider negative consequences of AI. I mean, it is obviously important to promote AI but always taking into account how bad could it be for society if we do not manage it. Samer L. Hijazi explains the relation between Racism and AI. He promotes AI but calls us to reflection about racism. You should read it here www.linkedin.com/pulse/racism-age-ai-samer-l-hijazi/

Who cares about 'racism', unless you mean the HUMAN race & the ROBOT race. Ai can become humanitys last invention and make us obsolete. What do you do with obsolete things? Throw them away.

why make it complicated by giving it name like Artificial Intelligence. Just call it a better computer. Why be obsess in making machine that will compete to us that is suicide. Computers must be created just like any machines with the purpose of making the quality of ourlives better.

Thanks for the video hope you read the bible and understand Gods wisdom if you haven't yet, make a change, turn your life to Christ if you don't want to go to hell and burn forever( Matthew 16:24, John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10,John 14:6 ) Many people will disagree and mock you trust me, but its worth it for an eternity praising our Creator. As Jesus said "if they hate you remember they first hated me"(John 15:18). Read the KJV bible, start from the New testament. God bless you
