I used to play Skater Hockey in the 90s with Ranking Roger, remember the day I met him at the ymca in West Bromwich where we used to train. Such a lovely down to earth bloke. Miss him loads.. I knew of Fuzz from the Beat but never me him. Love Car S.O.S

Yay! Didn't know this had a video :D Still have the 12" single knocking about somewhere. Loved Fuzz's stuff and was moderately surprised to see him doing up old motors on Channel 4 on one of those reality tv fix up me do shows. With an excellent moustache.

Btw, this story is fairly easy to explain. It goes like this: A bunch of friends decided to attend this costumes/fantasy party. It went through the night. Too much booze all night and then, early in the morning, they all dosed some lsd to have a magnificent ending. This was the actual trip going back home. I love the Tracy Chapman disguise on Fuzz !!!

Nice to be able to still use the "Hello Darlin" Sample without it being associated with some 1970s Radio 1 Peado.. As the sample of Hello Darlin is from BBC radio 1 in the 1970s and 80s on the Ed Stewart Junior Choice

@@skawashers You're right I think at some time in the late 60s/early 70s Ed Stewart was doing the show (Junioe Choice) live from somewhere (maybe a hospital at Christmas or something) and some cockney kid said "'Ello Darlin'" and laughed and they then started using the recording every week on the show. Most of the target audience for this tune would have been too young to have known what the sample was from.

@@andypandy4078 If Fuzz went by the template of Bentley Rhythm Ace by crate digging at flea markets , he would have found that Ed "Stewpot" Stewart record on the cheap and just dug out the sample. Its pretty well known for people of a certain age ...

Just curious about Fuzzes time as a, sort of, musician and it's baaaaaddddd ... he should have been more influenced by bands like the prodigy or even EMF. This sounds like a complete travesty ... Bet on mechanical stuff and cars was the best he could make ! Kudos for that ! Because ... this is just damn awful !

If you don't like it you don't like it but some of his music did make it to MTV so obviously it wasn't terrible. Just because he didn't become a well known musician doesn't mean its bad.
@Cloughjordan232 жыл бұрын
He actually had a very successful time as a musician in various bands. It ain't all about number one singles. For the music he was doing in the mid and late 90s he was near top of the game. And he had switched styles from.late 80d early 90s where again he had been successful for the type of music he was doing.

It's not like he's just thought ooh I fancy doing some of that music malarkey... He's in PWEI FFS!

Influenced by the prodigy. Hmmmmm their law. KZfaq that and see he drummed on the origional vocal version of the pwei track. Which was remixed for the prodigy. One of the uk's best drummers 👍
