Love this pedal. Got it yesterday here in Texas. I like putting it first in my chain. I run it into a dirty overdriven RedBear amp and it helps push it a little more but keeps clarity. I’m also putting it in front of other Fuzzlord pedals and am liking what I’m hearing!

Grabbed one of these pedals🤘🏼! I don’t own a Tele, but this demo makes me want a Tele...so begins the hunt! Badass pedal!

My favorite sound was the last sample. Mid boosting the JCM 800. Writing from Detroit MI. I’m mostly a bass player, I usually use my overdrive as a boost during the occasional solo. When I do play guitar I use OD to add some crunch, and a treble boost to dirty it up. Thanks for the vids.

One of things I like best about your demo vids is that you play some actual riffs instead of mindlessly noodling up and down the fretboard like the majority of these internet oafs do on their vids. Also, am enjoying these Plague-light times immensely. Thank you Corona-chan for making the world a slightly less crowded place, even if it's only for a couple of weeks.

Loving this channel! Enjoying from Rockville, MD. My fav configuration is the doom screamer clean boost and brightened solo tones. I use an EAE Longsword as my drive/boost and EAE Halberd as my base tone into a Vox ac15 greenback amp. Digging the voice of this screamer!

Loved how it sounded into the Marshall! I use a combination of EQ and clean boost into a dark dirty amp tone to get a cutting mid-heavy chugfest. Great video and pedal as always, Steve. Peace from Atlanta!

Great pedals as always; I used to use a Boss Turbo Overdrive counter-intuitively, I rolled the gain and volume off to clean up my sound, it gave me the option, as one so often needs, to go from Trouble-style Doom to Skynyrd at the flick (stomp?) of a switch. Carry on the good work, stay safe. \m/

I really dig your take on the 808; as far as overdrives go, I dig more bluesbreaker type circuits but I really like your take on it. As more time goes on, I appreciate what a good overdrive pedal can do. This needs to be on my board! Killer artwork on the housing and I love the setup of tone stack/clipping switch. I always use my dirt pedals as a cleanish boost for my amps, used a variety of fuzz pedals in the past but started using a Boss SD1 recently. Cheers from Covid infested Austria!

SW Oklahoma here, I really liked the clean boost application for the Doom Screamer. I typically use boost pedals to push a clean amp or maybe just a little pump/volume gain with a dirty amp for a slightly different lead tone. I thought the aluminum neck looked killer on that black tele!!

Cleveland Ohio here. Last clip was my favorite. Lately I run a Tim as a clean boost with an EQD Hoof and Keeley Super Phat Mod into a slightly overdriven OR 15 or my '52 Flot A Tone.

Listening to you from Houston, Texas. I really liked the clip of you using it as the baseline distortion into a clean amp. I've been really digging the idea of generating distortion from the pedals. It isnt quite as refined as getting a super distorted amp and slightly boosting it, but I've been digging that approach more. A great example of that ive been digging is Mike Smidt from Yob.

Greetings from Portland :) Love the video and so cool how you explained the variety of uses and settings! Think my favorite configuration was as the "baseline OD tone." Created such a cool vibe and could easily get lost in that tone. I've been using the "Drone Master" on my bass rig as a clean boost/OD and like to kick it on when our guitarist rips a solo - has a nice initial attack followed by a warm sustain that really supports the guitar part.

Good job again! I've been using a "k" style overdrive ehx soul food with a the "rat" style distortion ehx flatiron. I've steeled on that as my go-to sound. Like you stated keeping the bottom tight while increaseing the presence is key. I liked when you put your OD in front of the fuzz.

Hails from Dirty Jersey! I run an Earthquaker Life Pedal v2 into an EAE Model feT. My signal splits into both inputs of my MiG50 and I blend them. I also sometimes run an SD-1 into my Catalinbread SFT. Those are pretty much my "go-to" dirty tones. I absolutely love my Behringer SF300 as well. Managed to snag one when the restock happened. My clean tone is usually the Model feT always on set at a lower gain setting and it cleans up really nice with the volume knob. Gotta work that pinky yo!

Watching from Australia 🇦🇺 I liked it in the configuration I use my od in, as a cleanish boost into a dirty Chanel of my engl powerball or evh 5153 I also use a swollen pickle after my od for a hm2 like fuzz for parts of songs.

Finally got my Doom Screamer. Bad ass pedal. My Tube Screamer and Boss OD pedals are getting dusty. The only thing that worried me...there was no "click" when I hit the switch. I thought I had broken it on the 1st try.

You know where... I liked the one with the SG tone. The only pedal we use a OD for is our LSTR’s. I use the BAT Black Forest as a OD to tighten up while the other guitar player uses a BAT Witch Burner to give his tone a bit more splatter. Mixes well. Doom Screamer sounds sweet! Saving for the Muff you have coming out and the Echo pedal.

Looking for that sludgy sound that I hear in bands like Inter Arma and Lord Mantis. I think this pedal should do it, especially with the whack tuning of Inter Arma, overdriven distortion with some low end and sustain. Just a solo player from central Maryland using a Peavy Special combo amp with a Black Widow speaker, mainly using the clean sound. Update 10/11/'20: was about to buy the pedal, but Oh NO, its sold out. Please make more so I can purchase it. I already have the Drone Master and very happy with it. I also Have the Big Muff Pi too and your video convinced me this was the OD to get.

I have a Mojo mojo overdrive that I run as bootleg trouble booster rolling back on the lows and diming the highs with light gain as the base overdrive tone into a boss HM-2 and TC electronics Rusty fuzz. The head is CR-120 and fender reissue SunnO))) cab and boy does that thing doom.

Clean booster here. Though I turn down the lower and use more amp gain to get my sound. So not really booster, more preamp tone shaping.

I'm a Canadian ex-pat in Shenzhen China and I really liked how the pedal tightened up the Marshall, that chug was wicked!! The Doom screamer seems to be pretty versatile. I like to experiment with my overdrive pedals. I might buy another so I can set one as clean boost ans have the other as another option for grit.

So I'm guessing it's a Tubescreamer circuit with some tweaks? Not that there's anything wrong with that, every pedal maker makes one and everyone has their own take on it. It wouldn't be so ubiquitous if it wasn't so incredibly useful, as your demo showcases. A modded Tubescreamer was the first pedal I built when I caught the pedal making bug, and I use it to this day to tighten up my amp's drive channel (gain at zero, tone a little over halfway up, volume at max), which it excels at. In any event, the Doom Screamer looks and sounds awesome and would be a great addition to anyone's pedalboard! Cheers from a shitty small town in Kansas!

I dig the idea of using the OD pedal as a clean boost. I was using it to get the tube breaking up sound out of a solid state head. I have a CR-120 and would it be better to run the OD pedal (I have a Soul Food and a Quantum Mystic) through the FX loop (preamp) or just keep it up front on my pedal board chain for the clean boost?

I just use two amps a Bandit silver and a Crate GT212. That last variant seemed like it would work for my setup best before the ABY.

I liked it when you used it to boost the Muff. What are your tips for using a JCM 800 for doom?

Hey jason hows things going your way my favorite combo was your sg jcm combo sounds like my set up with a tube screamer I also use a rat pedal for overdrive an distortion the fuzz I use is a berringer superfuzz and a big muff an a joyo active fuzz and a rat also so any one of that mess can be ran any way jus depends I guess on what I'm feeling

Use my ts9 like a clean boost mostly, it still gives a nice overdriven tone even with the drive turned mostly down, but I find it sounds more full and open. TSs sound really compressed in not a great way to me when you crank the gain. Still adds a ton of clarity to the fuzz I use.
