FVC (Forced Vital Capacity)

FVC stands for Forced Vital Capacity. By performing a FVC test, the volume change of the lung between a full inspiration to total lung capacity and a maximal expiration to residual volume is measured. The measurement is performed during forceful exhalation; the preceding maximal inhalation need not be performed forcefully.

Someone clarifying verbally that "everyone has left the room now, so it's just the two of us, this way you won't be distracted during the test." would be very distracting.
