Thanks for this video. My monitor has a 2560 x 1440 resolution. In the Fydeos settings the resolution only goes as high as 1920 x 1200. Do you know of any way I can increase this?

Brother, is OpenSUSE compatible for any other app that are available on deb. I personally use debian based/ ubuntu based distro, and recently used arch linux which is not compatible with OBS screen recorder. bcoz I use Nvidia GT710 graphics card. I work with VS code, Intellij IDEA, Android studio and some photo editing tools like gimp , pencil. I mean I am a web/software developer. suggest me any, core i3 10100 processor with Nvidia GT710 graphics. I used kde de, but lot of display flickering issue when I record screen

This does not run on "any system" as it does not run on an Atom N270 and 1GB ram. This OS says it requires an Intel Sandy Bridge or newer.

Hi there, Right after the welcome screen it asks to join a wifi network however it is impossible to do so or get past this point. I notice that you seem to get the license agreement screen where i don't, im stuck on wifi. So how do i get this fixed?

the funny thing is theres a thing called limbo x86 wich allows you to emulate a computer via android, so your computer could be running android and from android you could be emulating windows.

I read in the comments............ so you half to deactivate in the BIOS the discrete/Nvidia graphics card in order for this OS to work with the onboard intel graphics card?

No need to disable , first try it. If it fails to load then disable NVIDIA if you have that option.

Tried it and it isn't too bad but the only downsode so far is that my touchpad is totally disabled and unable to be detected. If they found a way to get that fixed, i'd gladly have it on one of my lower end laptops.

yeah buddy on some laptops touchpad is not working. Did u check their forums ?? may be you could find a fix for that, for your laptop.

@@kskroyaltech I did and their reply is that they haven't got a solution for that even though they did admit it doesn't work. Lots of users have this problem. It would be perfect if touchpad worked.

FydeOS works very well with iGPU. They don't support NVIDIA GPU (Mine is GE-FORCE RTX 3050), in fact they ask the users to turn OFF discrete GPU From BIOS.

you can simplify use another video cable and connect it to your IGPU port, this way you dont have to disable your gpu again and again in case of duel boot@@kskroyaltech

Unlike to my my Android phone I have a problem with the gallery or any photo editing app like Snapseed or InShot accessing the downloaded pictures in whatever folder they are. The same with videos for video editing apps or players like VLC or again, InShot. Am I the only one facing that issue or does anyone know how to solve that? Otherwise I really like working with FydeOS. But to be honest I returned to Windows because of that exact issue. Also it failed to turn on the Linux environment. It just doesn't do it. But that's not a big deal for me.

You have to enable virtualization from bios setting and it'll do just fine!

There is no audio, no sleep mode, onscreen keyboard will not display automatically after the installation, and there is no possibility of updating the driver?

sadly when i boot the usb in uefi it is stuck on a gray/black screen, even though it is a 4th gen i3 , amd radeon 8550M gpu. so it should work with the 3rd option, but maybe 1st option will work.???

not exactly. fydeos (and chromium os) does not support nvidia gpu. since linux subsystem runs via VM, you actually can pass entire PCI-E requests to VM (host to guest and vice versa), this works on regular linux, but fydeos are not "regular" linux, so i think you cant use nvidia gpu in linux VM on fydeos. actually it supports all amd gpus, so try it if you have one. also you can make exact same ui using KDE with custom themes on any regular linux distro

Всем добрый день, поставил сие чудо но при использовании резко перезагружается и потом в считаете секунды снова работает, и ещё монитор регулярно темнеет и полоски светлые (глюки), похоже на отвал видеокарты, но перепробовал на нескольких ПК все повторяется . I tried FydeOS for some time, the newest version. I liked it very much, BUT: It still comes only with Android 9 which means that some modern apps wouldn't run on it. Also from all the gallery and picture and video apps I tried none would "see" the media files in their respective folders. No pictures and no videos were detected by any of the apps I tried. I don't know why but this is super annoying and the Fyde team should work on fixing that asap. Apart from that I will believe that ChromeOS in combination with Android is the best idea since german sausage. In the meantime I switched to Tuxedo Linux and I might stick with it until sometime in the future FydeOS might have figured it out, hopefully soon. I'd like to give it a shot again since I believe it's very promising.

Mostly it's better to use Ethernet connection. FYDE OS is buggy sometimes WIFI works ..

Well I wasted an entire morning and afternoon trying to get this to work..seems it just hangs at the point where you're click on the "Android" icon it just sits there..I left it going from 11AM to 3PM and it did nothing...so no...won't be bothering with this OS...it was a good idea...but execution?...really bad.

It has many glitches. Lately, I noticed the same. After posting this video, I reinstalled FydeOS again, this time I didnt find android subsystem .. Then, I switched to try it mode, and installed FydeOS. Now I saw the android subsystem app, it started downloading something and it stuck for while. I closed the app and tried again . It worked.
