I believe boogie woogie is a type of jive. Jive is a collection of styles of dance, the same way that swing is a collection of styles.

Depends on if you mean jive as a generic term for different styles of swing dance, or if you are referring to the ballroom swing style known as jive. I think jive and swing are just generic terms for dances done to swing music (in the States, we tend to use the term swing, unless we are referring to the ballroom dance called jive).
