Just to give some context - the reason why the 4th July is being mentioned in this clip is because the Masjids in the UK had been closed for more than 3 months. The UK government allowed for congregational prayers to restart on Saturday 4th July 2020. This video was made to encourage the youth to attend the mosques on that date

It’s a great video, our youth are missing the mercy aspect and these reminders we all need. The problem of violence stems from the home, as do many problems. We need to work on the community starting with our own households

May Allah reward the Shaykhs intentions. Good to see this kind of initiative to help the youth. This gang culture wouldn’t exist if their parents hadn’t neglected to educate them. If their parents weren’t running after money and working all hours that God gave them, then this wouldn’t happen. If the imams at the pulpit talked about this instead of politics on the other side of the world then his wouldn’t happen. Our Youth are destroying themselves and their own community. They don’t think that selling drugs or whatever crime in might be to your neighbours, someone will one day sell it to your sister. It’s called poetic justice. A few years ago in Birmingham some lads died in a car accident during a police chase. They killed a Taxi driver and his passengers. There’s no honour in that life. What harm we cause other people Allah inflicts it on us in return. May Allah guide these youth. May they see the light. Ameen.

I go to Green Lane and follow manhaj of the salaf but lots of us here have lots of respect for brother Shaykh Aslam because of his love and hardwork for the deen. You can't knock him for that. Wish you were on our side to be honest. You would be an asset to guide many in Birmingham to true Tawhid. The soofees are fortunate.

Masha'Allah! May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala continue to shower His infinite mercy and blessings, love and kindness upon the Shaykh and upon his family and may He the Most High give the Shaykh success in every good work he is doing and seeking, also may Allah the Most High give every one of us the tawfiq to reap knowledge and wisdom from the noble Shaykh so we may better ourselves in refining our character and most importantly becoming better muslims so we may serve the rest of the Ummah!
