Not really for me to say BUT I will tell you two things: a- To this day, I am still proud and surprised by the pacing in GOW 1 (which we worked real hard to achieve). b- While we cared that the Player got enough play time for their purchase, it was a different time where we didn't really have too much worry about games being sold back to Gamestop and even so, no one gave us any pressure about the constant direction to cut fat and make the thing move and make it- if possible- interesting every moment.

@@DavidJaffeGames well I meant since you played through it multiple times, was there a point where you thought that, for you? I’m guessing probably not, since you would’ve then maybe made the decision to change something. But yeah, agree on the pacing. Just overall I miss the old god of war style. Gameplay was superior imo. So much fun. RePlayed through all of them recently and it was a blast.

I find it disingenuous to say it would be negative if MS/XB doesn't keep up with COD releases like "Bob" did. When we all heard back during the ABK trial. That they already said they wanted to take breaks from the yearly..... & if I'm not mistaking.... You said it's cool it needs A break.

Hey Jaffe, great show, i missed the x rated incident i expect the reason they did it was a troll trying to take down your channel. I have seen other small youtube channels taken down for having trolls doing this stuff on video call ins. As it breaks youtube comunity guidelines.

Hey, I'm not a member, so maybe I don't have a right to complain, but it's a bit of a shame to me that it's only these live shows that are available to the public now. Bringing this absolute menagerie of clowns and troglodytes that unfortunately make up much of your audience on the show, is just so unappealing. Screaming into the wind about the same topics, day in day out, trying to make anyone become more nuanced thinkers is lovely as a social welfare project, for a show about industry news etc. it is not, personally at least. With how eager people are to send super chats here, I'd have thought that it would be viable to have this be a premium, exclusive show for those that want to chat and hang out live, and obviously don't mind paying extra, while the bread-and-butter main show goes out to everyone. It feels pretty bad to have to skip forward in little increments ten, twenty times on each of these videos just to get to what you're best at. Having to suffer through your attempts at doing youth work with this inane bunch drags the whole thing down by a lot. :/

This is a great comment and I not only appreciate it, I'm taking it to heart. I am finding that the current format seems to get very high listener times, makes more money (in chats and ads), and it's something I can do - I think- at a consistent clip (one of the biggest complaints of many about this channel). HOWEVER- it comes at the cost that you identify and I don't like that. I've done this show (or some version of it) enough now to realize both can't occur together (at least not with my skill set) BUT I do think it sucks that a more thoughtful show about games is lacking. I have a few ideas and I do want to address the concern without harming what seems to be working. Gonna try some things next week, hope you stick around and lemme know if it solves the problem. Regardless, appreciate the comment. Very helpful.

@@DavidJaffeGames Oh, sure thing! Happy to help, sire. Curious to see what you have in mind. It's a tricky problem to solve, for sure. Apart from the harmless but boring stoned guys that don't have anything to say, it's just that watching the show can sometimes feel like what I sadly imagine growing up in a bad home could be like - so much anger and constant arguing, and tearing each other down, and not really listening, and loud noise and prideful ignorance. Ugh. It's such a fun medium with so much cool shit to gush about and yet it just gets turned into a warzone. I guess that's the internet overall, but it feels like as soon as it's about people's entertainment, things seem to get extra heated. Even if it was just once a month, I'd love an episode of this show that didn't make me be on edge. :P Either way, have a good weekend.
