I like to think that the reason mido got such a good grade while the others failed was because he knew more about other heroes and the test was on information about how other heroes operate and the pros and cons of their actions

Would explain why Katsuki and Shoto had such low scores despite clearly being studious to the point of a bit nerdy in cannon. I mean, Shoto grew up with his father who was basically the embodiment of "If your famous, nobody will bother holding any consequences to your actions" and would definitely teach that to his son. As for Katsuki, pretty cloae to the same thing. Most, if not all, of the adults in his life were pushing the ideal of "If your strong, its okay to put down others. If they cant keep up thats not your fault." I imagine Iida wouldve also gotten a higher score having a mid-high pro as a role model who not only (seems to be) an incredible person naturally but would have to leaen balance of whats okay as a hero because theyve got enough fame that all their actions are noticable but not enough to ignore consequences. Deku on the other hand took all his experiences as a kid and turned them on their head to make his baseline, and refined it with his hyperfixation of heroics to get so close to a perfect score.

Deku is so me. I recently started crying after I got my test results. I missed HALF A POINT to 100%. The rest of the class failed that test and started panicking when I was crying, since I'm the best in my class. They thought I failed the test too and they were so done with me after they found out I'm crying over HALF A POINT (yes, I'm still bitter about it)

I’m definitely deku. I cry when I get a 95 on a test (math) while my friend gets 67 and is happy with it. The main reason I’m annoyed is cause most points I get off are due to small errors that are super annoying. Like switching a negative sign. Or adding wrong 😅
