This is fantastic brother. Great job. I gave mine a lazy penciled in mustache but what a difference it made. Have a good day sir.
@jmkcustomworks6 ай бұрын
Thank you, sir! I appreciate the feedback! What a difference a mustache can make lol. That head would be a great candidate for some sculpted facial hair. I might just have to make a video for that!
That looks outstanding! He ready to go on a LRRP with John Wayne in The Green Berets now.

Mikey, I’m blown away by your tiger stripe camo technique. He looks awesome! I always wore tiger pants when I was SPL for our Boyscout Troop.

Thank you sir! I appreciate that very much! Ever since I tlsaw that camo on a 21st Century figure I have loved that pattern!

Great work man! I tried my hand at that kit too - amazing details in the sculpt. I went with a Sonic Fighter Falcon homage. Your freehand painting skills on the patches are truly impressive.

Thank you so much! It's such a great kit! Nice yeah, they probably won't do that, so that makes sense! Again, thank you very much!

Saw you talking to that It's Chad guy. Huuuge improvement to Falcon.There's nobody who's done more for Falcon than you have. Your many many friends will be impressed. Btw... Would love to see if a repaint can do anything for the original Falcon head.

Well thanks for watching this video as well as ItIsChad's! Thank you for the very kind words about my Falcon re-paint! Great idea! I will certainly look into what can be done about the Hasbro head!

Awesome work. Did you take any steps to prevent paint rub?
@jmkcustomworks6 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! On this particular job, the only precaution I took was using a clear coat. Since I know that my dad will pose it exactly how I gave it him, I did not remove any material from the joints, like I would typically do on a commission piece.

Do you do any prep work or final sealing? I used to use Model Masters Acryl like you mentioned you used to do - and no that I cannot find it I am seeing a lot more paint rub and such. Fantastic work by the way!
@jmkcustomworks2 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! I typically do prep work, especially on the 4" figures! Usually, since those tend to have lots of different colored parts, I sand joints to minimize paint scrape. Since this figure was for my dad, I knew it was going on the shelf, and the base color was green I didn't worry too much about it. Generally I don't use a sealing coat, but I think I am going to start doing it again and likely with the airbrush.

Whats the cost on a custom job like this if i may ask its absolutely amazing
@jmkcustomworks4 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! Great question! This is one of the more difficult and time-consuming "builds." That being said, this amount of labor would likely be in the 200-250 range.

I'd have gone green on the LBE...

If I was going for full-Nam looks, I probably would have too! On the details, I pulled more from the original card art.

@@jmkcustomworks I served in the early 90s and our LBEs were still green. A fantastic looking piece regardless.
