You were asking about his light machine gun? It's a nod to the original Tunnel Rat's weapon, which was a MG42 type LMG. The new Tunnel Rat's weapon is a mash up of the MG42 + the M60. Also, his revolver is a .357 Colt Python. Which is an absolute piece of ace.

Great vid as usual. Just like you love that he's from Brooklyn, I always loved that his early filecard said he's of Trinidadian descent (where I'm from). Always stuck out to me as a kid, got to ask Mr. Hama himself later on in life as to why such a random piece of trivia and he said one of his friends growing had Trinidadian parents. Love the character and love the little linkage. Eagerly awaiting mine.

Good review Man! He was originally a pass for me but his short stature is so unique that now I need to add him to my Joe and Action Force collection. I never liked the weaponry Tunnel Rat was given due to his mission from the Vietnam era, though the weapons do look cool. I’ll be loading him out with more sub machine/ pistol hardware. I can’t wait to get this figure, been waiting for them to make him since the beginning of this line. I will say I’ve never understood the choices Hasbro made with this character, tunnel rats were a real thing, they cleared out the vast tunnel networks in Vietnam, so smaller guys were chosen and they had minimal in amount and size of gear since they were crawling around in tunnels, and yet this Joe has a huge gun, big ole backpack etc etc. I’ll be modding him right away to fix those flaws when I get him. His base is still dope though, he will make a great modded figure.

Tunnel rat could be a kamen rider lol

I've always loved the Tunnel Rat character & figure. But the one thing I've never understood is that why someone who is meant to squeeze through tight places has a massive machine gun & backpack? Also the revolver - wouldn't another pistol with a silencer make more sense?

Wow! (As a classified collector but non-Joe fan) I had 0 interest in this figure when this was announced but I'll definitely be getting this. I love the colors and how they work together, I love the accessories (like the pouch, the NVG quads), and I love how he scales. Makes sense that someone digging through tunnels would be smaller. It's also a great consideration on their part to put in that boot swivel at the ankle so you can really get this guy laying flat. Well done, Joe team! Also, his rifle looks to be modeled after a light-machine gun, the M60. It's a bit goofy though because they threw a scope on it, but a gun like this is for heavy suppressing fire and also loud as heck (even with a suppressor on it). Weird weapon choice here for somebody that would be stealthily digging behind enemy lines. This gun is more for somebody like Rock n Roll, but even then, you wouldn't throw a huge magnifying optic on it. And then lastly, the revolver isn't technically a Colt .45. It might be a Colt revolver (kind of looks like a Colt Python) but a Colt .45 is a semi auto pistol (more similar to the handgun that came with Grunt). I know that guns aren't your thing though and I respect your humility to accept as much. No shame in that!

Great review and photo shoot. I love how the Classified team made this figure actually shorter. And it is substantially shorter to the bigger Joes.

As always great video. Always look forward to the ending photography. It makes sense that the figure is smaller since traditionally tunnel rats would have to be small enough to crawl through enemy tunnels. I never thought the large back pack and rifle made sense but I won’t complain about more accessories. The night vision goggles I am familiar with require some ambient light to function so they wouldn’t be useful in a fully blacked out tunnel but again are a cool add on.

His stuff is all baggy on him and don’t fit right because he’s a smaller fig and it’s reused or it’s going to be reused on other (bigger) figs ,guarantee that chest gun holster and revolver come with general hawk

just got mine, the colors dont match on his shirt/sleeves, the bullets n magazine for the gun arent the right size and they dont match those on his bandolier/belt. the hoaky communicator on his kit was way unneccessary. 6 out of 10 only because i like the character and to your point the articulation is epic

Cool figure, and I will buy on release. Just can't help but feel the design doesn't really suit someone who crawls through the sewers to get into the enemy base. Would have preferred him to have things like C4, wire cutters, and smoke bombs over a high calibre rifle and a bandolier.

Gun is not a .50 cal. It’s a .308 (or could be a more specialized larger caliber) DMR.

Bazooka is closer to Tom Selleck or Don "The Predator" Frye than Freddie Mercury.
