Tony - I'm age 60 and my very first Joe I received was the bearded Land Adventurer 1970? 1971? Christmas here in Michigan. It was the *GREATEST Gift I ever received...................I still have it. My earliest memories of seeing G.I. Joe's was around 1968 in a dept store and there were piles of them tossed into open metal shelve racks. Not in boxes, just piles of them, kids would reach up and pull one off the pile. Now maybe the store received a large shipment and just tossed them into these racks, but I don't recall seeing them in boxes or separate boxes at that time as a kid, here in Detroit......................................The packaging became BETTER in the start of the 1970's.

My husband is also a GI collector. He has like three Rattlers. Lol. He’s been collecting GI joes for a while now. He collects the joes from the 80s. His collection is massive. He just got his second terror dome

WOW! the Rattler is my favourite Action Force/ GI Joe vehicle. I had to settle for the gold version made in the early 2000's, its still mint in box at the moment, i might leave it that way.

Also fun fact in the modern G.I joe comics Joe Colten actually took the persona of baron iron as creates a version of the red shadows to take down all transformers. Maybe you make you G.I joe a baron iron blood outfit .

Hi Tony , great to watch your videos , I was always a Star Wars nut and collected them all my life , I also had a shop that sold action figures but sadly due to circumstances I have now lost it.Watching your videos has given me a lot of joy and I ve really become interested in maybe getting some of the time joe cobra figures , I think they look awesome ! I'm in Cape Town in South Africa. Could you perhaps give me some advice as to how I might be able to get some of these figures without spending too much money ? Did you ever give your bearded G.I joe name ? In the comics when ever the original G.I. Joe shows up they call him Joe Colton . You could him that or Maybe Jake Hogan . Just some random names .

My knowledge of Action Man is limited. I understand it was rebranding GI Joe in the 60s and it sounds like The Real American Hero line also came to your shores. Was the Sunbow cartoon shown in your country, and was it dubbed with British voice actors or did they keep the original voices?
