I can relate to how you try to get your kids to speak Cantonese, and admire your determination. It is difficult for interracial family and in an English speaking environment.

It's not easy but we have to do our best to help the kids retain their Cantonese! My nieces moved over to the states two years ago. The little one went from not understanding English to preferring English. Maybe the full immersion went too well lol. We'll be heading back to HK for a long stay though so that should help things.

My biggest regret was not spending the time to teach my American born kids enough Cantonese. I thought if I hired a Cantonese nanny, my kids will learn but in the end, my 3 kids talked English amongst themselves and used minimal Cantonese to communicate with the nanny. Now my kids are in their 30's and my grand kids hardly know a work of Chinese. So glad to see Glady's efforts in making sure the kids remember Chinese.

最近才開始留意你家的VLOG。很有趣和真摯。 這一集竟然看到我眼濕濕⋯片中看到你夫婦倆如何花心機時間去陪兩兄弟，想起我兩個兒子在這個年紀時自己有工作在身，雖也有盡力陪伴，但在培養家庭關愛團結精神上等等仍未有做好最好，現在孩子已成人，但家庭關係確較以往疏離，感慨是否自己以前未有做好呢？😢
