I was thinking about a Casioak, but I thought it was too big for my wrist. I got a DW-5600E, and then heard that the Casioak is about the same size, and I don’t mind the size of the 5600 at all, so now I MUST get the Casioak.

Nice review, pointing out all the features and i think you made the right choice, i know the yellow one is all the rage now but can't shake that feeling that it looks like a cheap toy while this one is much slicker and the red accent is just that cherry on top.

The yellow runs this close, but I reckon this is No.1; love the red hand on the subdial and 'Tough Solar' in gold, gives a retro feel.

I have this same watch, best choice of colour and accents are subtle (but add a pop of colour). The most comfortable watch I've owned - only negative was the initial set up being a little long winded and the difficulty of reading the small lettering. The app does make things easier in day to day use though.

I like the Caution Yellow model myself, basically black with yellow accents. The dial effect is pretty much a sunburst, for me the watch's most attractive feature, Tough Solar & Bluetooth make this a very practical option and replace the resin case and strap with the gen 4 SKXMod black PVD case/bracelet and you have yourself a really decent and reliably accurate watch that fits any situation.

Awesome! Like this black and yellow model. For this price tag to have Tough Solar, BT, Carbon Core Guard etc. Noticed the "RCVD" on the digital display. I have thought this usually have watches with Multiband - Radio signal Receiving. But in here it means receiving from BT correct?

My favorite watch I have from gshock is actually my mustard yellow ga2100 the original first run exclusive to Japan. The color is simply fantastic. I think it’s the only one I have that’s actually made in Japan and the it feels quite different than wearing the other ga2100’s made elsewhere for some reason. The quality of materials is just better

4:07 is actually calibrating the hands - A LOT of G-Shocks are not precise with their analogue hands, and this is how you adjust them.

I didn't like that the GAB2100 removed the weekdays from the subdial and gave us useless info that could have been accessed from the LCD. I'd rather have the weekday info at a glance.

I really wish the week day dial hadn't changed into a mode dial, having to press a button to switch between day of the week and day of the month is a deal-breaker for me. I think I'll go for the non-Bluetooth models instead.

Every time I see one of these the battery level is at Medium, do they ever reach High? My GW-M5610U-1ER is always on High and I wear it a few times a week at most, in fact it only once dropped to Medium. I leave it where the light from outside can reach it when not worn though.

I hate the strap on these and on the rest range Gs like dw and gw5600 and couple more models, my wrist is about 7' and it doesn't sit right is either too tight or too loose, got myself gw-b5600 paisley blue had to change the strap

That would require full time Bluetooth connection which drains the battery. Here BT is connected only when its needed

Recently picked up this bad boy for $110, but mine has 2 bars battery in app (mid level slightly to low). Does it charge automatically while i'm doing stuff outdoor?. It's my first tough solar g-shock though.

Yes will solar charge with normal wear. I live in Scotland where the sun doesn't shine very often and mine is always showing H for max battery.

Hi All i just want to ask about this tough solar since this is my first watch using solar. So when i bought this watch, the battery hands showing in “M” in the middle and when i connect the watch to phone, i can see the battery showing 2 bars, so i decided to put the watch under my bedside table lamp for the whole night. In the morning i checked the indicator is not changing, even when connected to phone, it still showing 2 bars. Is that normal, since I’ve seen videos that it’s showing in “H”

Just noticed the edges of the hands of this watch here are a bit rough?? My regular 2100 (camo) hasnt got that, the edges are spot on. Noticed this watch is caged in China, mine in Thailand.

Interesting. The hands don’t look rough when you look at it through your own eyes. It was the lighting and macro lens I was using that really show that texture more

Dude, you've already showed us your 4A, people across the globe are gonna mod their GA2100 watches like crazy, keep your GAB2100-1A the same and Mod your original 4a in a all black stainless steel set. Ali Express has all that you're asking for.

Hi, I have a question. When I sync my GA-B2100, it is off by 15 seconds compared to my G-Shock 5610. The difference is roughly 15 seconds. I believe the 5610 shows the correct time as it syncs with the atomic clock and syncs with the time on my cellphone. Any ideas on how to correctly sync the GA-B2100?? Thanks!

I have both models, and just sync my GA-B2100 at least once a day via my mobile phone app. It's never been out of sync with my GW-M5610. Do you sync your GA-B2100 regularly? Without sync its stated accuracy is +/- 15 seconds per month.

@@iandavies8616 It’s really strange but after syncing both my 5610 and my GA-B-2100 - the 5610 it is off (faster) by 30 seconds. I sync my Casioak using the Bluetooth app and the 5610 syncs automatically. TheCasioak is displaying the correct time. Really odd....
