Purchased the same model last week. Amazing build quality. This is my 3rd MRG. Prefer them to any of my swiss. SO satisfying to wear!

@@CyrusDM the usual suspects. A few Rolex sports, omega divers, grand seiko’s. No, the mrg is too thick to be worn with a suit.

I know this watch is pricey, but I've honestly never had so many compliments on a watch. Over 2 weeks, about a half dozen compliments from total strangers. One guy asked if it was a TAG.. and turns out he was wearing a blacked-out MTG G-shock at the time. I had to take it off and let him feel the lightness of the titanium. About 30% lighter than stainless. It's perfectly sized too, being just slightly smaller than almost every other plasticky or metal MTG G-shock. The satin finished titanium is just gorgeous. The Oceanus line is popular too, and has more shiny polishing, but this MRG is just another level of masculine edginess. Super glad I sold a couple other watches so I could pick this one up. Much prefer this over most Swiss mechanicals. But then, I've learned to appreciate solar/mutiband6/bluetooth over a tiny gearbox that goes dead every few days.

Update: Going on a year now, and dozens of compliments and people wanting to know what watch I'm wearing. I've taken it off qmanytimes so people could photograph the back and go find the model number. It still retails for around $1700, but there aren't many to be had. The satin finishing is quite stunning and draws attention all the time. I work with the public, and this thing gets noticed and complimented A LOT!. Whatever special hardening process they used on the titanium is no joke. as mine has absolutely zero scratches or flaws after a year. I sold a vintage 'quartz' Omega Seamaster Professional, AND a Citizen Signature Series Courageous to fund this one, and could not be happier with the trade! 🙂🙂🙂

Do you have to consistently connect this watch with blue tooth to adjust time?

A cool watch for sure. Assembled on a G-shape assembly line. Only masters of their craft can work on the line. The second hand ticks through 60 seconds, and cover 360 degrees. Yet, technically, the second hand of this watch still won't line perfectly with all the second markers. It's such a shame that Asian excellence can't get a simple task sorted correctly. A lovely watch, it really is, but why on earth are there areas where the hand and markers don't match. It's not like it's a bargain basement item. Thumbs up for the vid though, thanks.

Fantastic looking watch, but the non-inclusion of GPS in the new MRGs is disappointing. What happened to the 3-Way Time Sync and Hybrid Wave Ceptor technologies?

I guess that died with the Gravitymaster GPW-2000 and the MRG-G2000

@@lordtechpro_raw I think the GPW-1000 was the last "true" Gravitymaster since it had both the looks and the technology to back it up, while the GPW-2000 only had the 3-way time sync. The MRG-G2000 however was the best of both worlds it combined style, quality, toughness and technology.

This watch has Bluetooth. It'll sort itself out when you travel. No need for gps. It's actually better than gps

Exactly, this better built on the outside than the older MRG-G1000, but the movement/module inside it is inferior in nearly every way. It's also a bit too simple for my liking. If someone wants a true MRG they should pay the extra amount for the MRG-G2000 over this

Yes, it would seem like a downgrade for those coming from the older GPS models. Anyone can put bluetooth in their smartwatches, but putting GPS in an analogue watch requires proper engineering

@@lordtechpro_raw I had the older model but it was just too big on my wrist (in terms of thickness and width). The newer model I can just about get away with, so happy enough with the compromise of losing GPS.

@@rossdev The thickness and width didn't decrease by the removal of GPS. If you have seen some teardown videos of @gshockhighfashion you will know that the main reason of the size is the exterior case and bezel. Believe me, if Casio wanted to make a small size MRG they would do so. However, G-SHOCKs are meant to be outlandish and are designed to be worn loose around the wrist. Therefore the conventional rules of wearing a watch do not apply to G-SHOCKs, they fit perfectly even on smaller wrists, so why would you worry?

Does anyone know what MRG really stands for? MTG stands for Metal Twisted G-SHOCK and that name sounds cool, but does MRG really stand for "Majestic Reality G-SHOCK" (cause that sounds really lame)?

@@tracylee2190 No. I did have to pay tax importing into Georgia, a little over $100, but no 15% duty tax. I got a fedex confirmation later in the mail from Fedex, but was zero balance due. So again, not a 15% duty tax on mine. Maybe it varies depending on the seller??
