I received mine today. This is my first g-shock and I’m completely impressed with how this camo version looks in person. Awesome! Super comfy super light. This is for sure going into my rotation. Love it!

550 new in 2023. i got an older camo one on ebey that had green band and a camo face. i bought the bracelet and the outer bezel of this new look and put them together. looks way better than i thought it would. but the new camo one is sick looking, im glad i got it. some might say i have to many G-Shocks. lol

When the full metals came out, they were outrageous. And then ... _this one._ Makes you wonder what else they have on the design boards. The dot matrix-like style (everywhere!) adds that necessary level of geek. Rob, the reason you were able to finally drive the pin in (in the video here) was because you essentially held both pieces _in place_ (lined up). When you initially did it, holding only the left link, the right one you were trying to connect was dancing around with each hammer hit, so it wasn't staying lined up that way.

Rob, I think when you take pins out and back in again, you always follow the arrow... you put pin back in against the arrow... I think...

I got the black and camo. Love them both. Btw, I just pushed the pin using constant pressure, so it's less likely to bend.

I remember taking my Seiko Samurai to the watch repair shop to get it adjusted and the worker didn't know that it was a pin-and-collar system (neither did i) and when I wore the thing the next day the pin fell out and almost dropped my watch. The system works but its not my favorite. Beautiful GShock tho man

Just wanted to say I love this watch. I really shouldn't have bought it now, but I had a feeling this might not be around long and I got a killer deal on it. It's easily my grail as far as G-Shocks go. I'm still gonna buy a GWG1000 later this month after I trade off a few watches, but after this I'm done for a while lol.

Understandable to package them well. You are paying a lot of money for them in most cases. Plus, some people only collect and hardly ever wear them, which seems silly I have some expensive G-shock watches I treat just as rough as the cheaper ones.

Rob - I really love these watches. Great purchase! How does this bracelet compare to a SS dive watch bracelet with regard to the scratches and knocks of everyday life? How well do you think the camo will hold up? Why is the price so high - what is so special about it to merit the price? It can’t be the GShock module! Is it the material of the bracelet, the complexity of the camo print and the quality of the coating?

I've always wanted a titanium G-Shock square, and I'm still waiting on my ideal configuration; bare titanium (no black/camo coating) with a positive display. I don't know why watch companies think a titanium watch needs a black coating.

This is selling for $1800 (200,000 yen) in Japan on Amazon JP and that's if you can find it.

Is it alot lighter then the bling master 5000? Atleast they did better with the box then the vintage aged ip version they did earlier this year.

I have the black metal version. I love mine. But I think the main weakness of this product is their bracelet. It’s very loose and the spring bars they use is very small and fragile. I would have preferred they would use micro screws for all the links, just like the first solid end link on the watch.

How come you don't have the GW-S5600? That's the square G-Shock I own, probably the lightest G-Shock in production at 42g titanium case back and carbon fibre strap.

Really very cool. If I bought one, I’d never wear it. Too afraid to scratch up the coating at that price. My DW5600, I smack it around all the time without thought. Who am I kidding, I’d probably wear it to work anyway. I’d cringe, but I’d wear it.

Saw the titanium for $2500 (AUS) and the price on this is $1600, a slight discrepancy in the price I might say......but still a beautiful watch.

I like it very much .Killer watch. But it's too rich for my blood. The pins and collars design is way more secure, as such an expensive watch deserves, but they are such a challenge to size. (btw The car I'm driving right now cost me less than that watch).

What makes this worth $1600? It looks like the old cheap version from like the 80s is it that they put a $1600 price tag to see if anyone will buy it or is it one of them things that it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it but really what makes it worth $1600?
