Twisted Fate79 Hard to disagree. The gap between G2 and the rest of EU is enormous while most LCK and LPL teams are pretty even. So, on average, Asian regions are better than EU.

@@support_eu6397 lets hope he keeps it up, he's definitely been more active around the map on average, before mid - late, but i remember he used to just dominate lane and try carry through that - but this hyper-early hyper-aggressive team-meta is just no place for that. Reflexive remnants of LCKs old safe/scaling strategy in a meta that was much more suited for it.

because although everybody says g2 is overrated, I think they are underrated, ls and other analyst claim that dwg players are better than g2 ones, same for grf, but you can see that when it trully matters all g2 players stand up

@@freshtea767 Asian teams adapt much better than western teams, especially first seeds. Groups mean nothing. I predicted Fnatic would lose convincingly to FPX even though FPX was supposed to be their "best draw". I do agree that a 3:1 or 3:2 is more realistic though.

Happy to see Jankos to be back. He was the MVP of the LEC slipt IMO, he had a flawless 1st game in the group stage, then he lost it. Not happy to see G2 making so many mistakes tho. Yes, they won 3-1 but these games weren't the kind of games G2 used to show. ADuring the slipt, it didn't matter if they won the early game or went even, they used to always dominate in the mid game. From this bo5 i see that they make a lot of mistakes in the mid game. They've won early this game and the 1st or 3rd game (don't remember already :D) but they really struggled in the mid game, made a lot of mistakes, especially Wunder getting picked off, that it was really close to let the Damwon to comeback in the game. I really hope they settle this out for the semi finals because sure, the level here is much much higher than LEC, but still, it is G2's mistakes, not the enemy teams sick plays, that make these games difficult for G2

Yeah after watching them play with their food like an SKT throwback, I was surprised to see G2 constantly leaving room for DWG to make their way back into this game. It never really felt like DWG was going to win this game but all the completely unnecessary mistakes were surprising. Reminded me of my terrible decision making in lol. Such a dominating early game my goodness. IG/SKT/FPP can potentially turn a losing game into a second half rout if they continue to play like that. I believe G2 will clean those errors up. It's one thing to play loose and agro, a signature style that got G2 this far but that team is way too smart to throw in Worlds. The level of competiion should not be taken lightly and I don't think it will be. I expect much better decision making when snowballing from here on out.

A more or less solid series against the LCK 3rd seed, and although SKT's series vs. SPY was shaky, I think G2 will need to be better if they want to beat SKT again.

Caps has a sweet Yasuo. So clean and sublime to watch. Perkz you have to admit his Yasuo is better then yours. :) Great series by Caps in his roams and despite all the hype with Showmaker, he didn't activate his lanes like Caps has done. And Nuguri with all the hype he got from the casters, deserves this pie in his face. They need to stop hyping players like that. Another over rated player that plays greedy. Perkz has been stellar all Worlds and if they win Worlds, he just might get that MVP that he deserves. I think G2 can beat SKT, they didn't look as clean as I thought they would against Splyce. Against Invictus, Caps is going to need to beat his demons in Rookie and Wunder can't play cocky against Theshy. Cause he will destroy him. For me I am hoping for a G2 and Invictus final. Want G2 to overcome their previous demons and destroy IG.

HIGHLY anticipating Caps vs Faker. Caps has been looking good. All of G2 make weird mistakes for no reason and the haters keep pointing to Caps' mistakes to try and label him as overrated player. Faker makes mistakes like that too on occasion. It feels like they both just get too cocky or comfortable. I want to see this matchup very badly. I don't think Caps is overrated and I don't think Faker is below a top 5 mid laner. We'll see if the "unkillable demon king" is still a God or if Caps is in the conversation for the crown. Looking forward to the 1v1s, map control and decision making.

Not a G2 fan at all but I do very much appreciate these guys showing some kind of life/personality. It shows in their style of play on the rift too. All the LCK/LPL robotic answers and lack of emotion seem tedious after so many years.

Well G2 face a HARD road to win worlds now, they need to defeat SKT and chances are IG, Both those teams are better then Damwon, so if G2 wins worlds this year they most certainly will have shut those fanboys down

LCK fanboys are cancer. They shit talk the FNC fans when they were saying stupid stuff like FNC (a 2nd seed) would beat SKT (a 1st seed), yet they literally did the same thing by saying DWG (3rd seed) would crush G2. They're just as delutional and stupid. I'm not saying that DWG is a bad team or anything (I definitely believed that they have a chance to beat G2 before today), but I based my predictions on their actual gameplay instead of what region DWG or G2 is. Most people who said that DWG would crush G2 are just dumbasses who support/hate teams based on their region.

@@inconvenientfacts58 It may not have been the cleanest of games, but in what world is a 3-1 victory not convincing.. Damwon was said to be one of the most dominating teams in scrims, and i have no doubt they could take games off GRF and SKT any day of the week. It all comes down to draft and execution. Just because you are first or second seed, doesnt mean you cant lose to teams technically below you. We have seen that in previous worlds where wildcard teams took down top teams, in bo1's but still..

I was coming to the comments expecting good vibes since both teams tried hard (there were ups and downs, but great job from both sides), then all this debate (would i even call it that idk) is making my head spin and I feel the toxicity from obsessed/die-hard fans (of all teams, no exceptions) seeping into my system. This is just a repeat of MSI all over again and thats super disappointing. SKT vs G2 is going to be the most interesting game of the entire worlds series, and its set to semi-finals. And just like MSI no one is going to give a shit about finals because its going to be the world powerhouse (G2 or SKT) and some nobody team that will 100% get their shit pushed in in an amazingly underwhelming bo5. IG is probably going to win over Phoenix, and they don't stand a chance in hell against G2. At best they may take 1 match against SKT. Phoenix stands to go 0-3 against both teams. Can we just say G2 vs SKT is the finals match and give IG some consolation prize?

GRF beat G2 twice and IG SMASHED them, FNC beat SKT and got slapped up by FPX, but don't just look at who beat who, watch the games. FPX played so well throughout that series and if they are in the form from their regular season, they can stand up to G2 and SKT. IG is just amazing under pressure and though they played very sloppy at some points vs GRF, you can't count them out. Just like you, so many people said IG wouldn't go far last year. They destroyed FNC in an incredibly boring series. I'm guessing ur from the EU and if you are, how could you think no upset will happen when G2 beat RNG last year.

@@aaronjackson7628 Outside of a Bo5 perhaps. But how many teams have won a series against either SKT or G2 all year? Single matches mean little to nothing. Especially when both teams had already secured a spot in semi's and were only competing for first seed when they lost their first matches. G2 and SKT dominated their respective regions and not by a close margin. Hell SKT buried DWN and GRF so hard in the LCK I was afraid the mental boom would still effect them in the round Robin stages. (Which to their credit they bounced back spectacularly). I dont follow every G2 game, but from the results I've seen it looks like it's about the same story. Only time will tell how well this comment ages. But if SKT or G2 isnt lifting that trophy by worlds end I'm willing to bet my account from season 2. You're also wrong on the EU pick there, by a few continents.

Top, Mid and JG all got massively outplayed by G2. Showmaker, Nug and Canyon all showed that while they can string together 2 games where they play like gods, they cannot do so for 3. Cap's mid lane roams this series were well timed and 5head af. In this series it looked like he wasn't going for outplaying Showmaker, he let Showmaker play himself. Jankos is back in form. Not Clid form, but its good to see the kid making proactive plays and them working. And what can you say about Wunder? Went head on with the #2 top lane ITW and outplayed him on his signature champ and then proceeds to outplay him on Ryze v Arelia. MVP of the series although Perks did all the damage. SKT in 5.
