This walkthru video reviews and discusses the classic Dungeons & Dragons Module:
G3 Hall of the Fire Giant King
Written by the legendary Gary Gygax , Published by TSR in 1978.
In 1981, the G-Series Modules were compiled together in the "Against the Giants" Compilation.
In 2017, the G-Series Modules were updated for D&D 5E and published by Wizards Of The Coast (WOTC) in their "Tales From The Yawning Portal" Adventure Book.

These G videos have been super helpful in discerning the overarching story in these modules, I'm getting ready to run the Tales version for some friends and was surprised by how little I could find on YT - Keep it up!

Ran this back in '81 for the first time. Still have never had Drow be redeemable in any way, shape, or form. Not throwing away a great villain for a sappy payoff. 8>D

I also like using the Drow as the villain. I better stop there; anything further that I say seems to get censored by YT.

How did the ancient red dragon move to the underground chamber? He cannot fit through door frames or small tunnels.

Yes, a red dragon in cavern #7 makes no sense, which I missed and I should have pointed out in the video. First off, the cavern itself is too small to house it. So the 2 fixes would be: (1) make the cavern bigger, and (2) and a large lava tunnel/chute that leads to the outside for the dragon to use.

This is a theme in all the Giants modules. The hallways, beds, bedrooms are all too small. I wonder if it had anything to do with fitting the areas on a single sheet of paper for printing.

I always played it that one of the lava holes you could inspect (and get injured by) from the outside, was really big and snaked down here. Also, it's a magic user and could polymorph if the DM decided to 'make it so'.

Grown from an Egg? Tiny Room for a massive dragon My PC's made it through here but then got stomped by the Trolls.
