Another awesome video brother, love being part of the B58 GanG...It's been fun watching the "Haters" turn to Admirers over the past year and a half. I've gotten so many mixed opinions, from random people about the pedigree of my MKV, and "It's not really a Supra bro, It's a BEAMER. The blending of 2 of the best engineering manufacturers out there isn't a negative in my book, quite the contrary, the joint venture has produced a pretty potent package with impressive tuning potential. I know I chose the right ride, it puts a smile on my face every time I'm in it, and when i get out and lock the door, I can't help but look back at that sexy Bish.... :) Ty for your content Brother.

Love the new M3 and I am real impressed with the new Supra’s performance with just a tune, E50 tune and maybe downpipes. Hella impressive and I certainly won’t sleep when I see Supra headlights beaming on my bumper. 😳

Both are beautiful, I know I have both, and while both my cars are modded.... My Supra has no chance..downpipes, flash tune, intakes on the Supra. G80 xdrive, ecu stage 1 tune and nothing else , eats my Supra, at any roll and at a quarter mile, the Supra with all my power ( 560 hp) I cannot get better than 11.2 obviously grip ) while the g80 constantly gets 10.5/10.6 Just a fact....also that dude must wiegh 290 pounds!!! Driver mod!! ;) Both on 94 octane. Also, the race chip that he swears by, is trash! And , I think you know it. Love your channel!

@@joshdominguez341 you don’t know what you are taking about, the s58 is a bullet proof engine, no other Bmw engine comes near as tuning potential. Power to weigh ratio won’t even matter when these things are putting down 800bhp on stock turbos. Do some research before typing nonsense

I think the person honking the horn has the slight advantage. Even if it’s just a millisecond. And you honestly see these placebo tunes and they feel faster on the butt dyno, and you get them on the rollers, and they’re worse.

A lot of uninformed people on this. Long story short, Bmw came to toyota to build a engine worthy of power and reliability. Toyota wanted to revive the supra but bmw wanted the reliability. Bmw wasn’t interested in a sports car because they has too many lined up. But toyota wouldn’t do it without reviving the supra so bmw gave in. They decided to revive the Z4 and put the engine in it. It was a win win. Toyota had more to do with it then most people think. Bmw had a hard time keeping up with toyota’s quality control. However, both Z4 and Supra was built on an entirely different chassis and platform. Tuned entirely different. Similarities were engine, suspension and transmission. Tuned totally different. The results show when you see the Z4 and supra go head to head. People see bmw on the inline 6 and think its a rebadge, it’s actually not.

Supra was the most uncomfortable car I'd driven since maybe a S2000. Only way I could even sit in the car was to have the seat nearly fully forward and the back reclined a good bit. It felt like the car was designed for a different species. I asked the sales guy how he fit in it. He said not well. I loved the BMW engine in it but the seating position was extremely uncomfortable.

@@Blaze-ing I'm just 6'0" tall. The car has to be driven in a somewhat reclined position. If you're one of those folks who have your seat so far reclined that people outside see your head in the passenger window behind you, then the Supra is going to be ideal for you. I did not enjoy the seating position at all. I've owned a C6, two Camaro's, a BRZ, a Cayman S, RS3 and a few GTI's before that, a few BMW's and I've never found any of them to be anywhere near as uncomfortable.

There is no tuning available for S58 just yet. Although, is being said the cracked the code, still not out. I’m still going with that M3, at one point they’ll have something to upgrade that power output, and that chasis stiffness for a factory car, is worth the wait.

I looked at it again, 3rd run "bad start"....bad start, 4th run James was sleep again 😴 and had his window all the way down. Wake up James smell the coffee, next run James let up early, maybe there was traffic. 6th run, hit it at the same time, ran it thru. Clean run.....unless I'm blind , I don't have my contacts in yet

If you researched the history, bmw came to toyota. In the past they have built great cars together. They wouldn’t be where they are without one another. The M3 is the best bmw have with speed and reliability, which is way less reliable than the b58.

Love the Supra looks like mine lol. Seriously though, people still "chip" cars? 🤔 I've got a DME flash tune on my A90 Launch with a few bolt ons and it easily hits 525hp on 93. Not many hang with it in a roll going 40mph. I've noticed 3rd to 4th gear where some serious acceleration happens

i see that you don’t have the trunk curtain installed is that due to the metallic rattle it creates with aftermarket exhaust

If the Supra is bone stock the S58 will win. This isn’t rocket science. I have a M4 2022. The car is faster. Yes If you tune it it will be faster but once you tune a S58 it’s silly to think about. What is the purpose for the M car to lose against it’s one step below engine. B58 is a single incline 6 S58 is a twin turbo incline 6. It’s a completely different engine.
