i think her apology was sufficient.. the only thing that REALLY bothered me was at the beginning she said she has to address this because it wasn’t just some petty drama.. like jessie’s rape isn’t just some drama and she deserves a proper apology as well.

karensexhusband ohmy ....she literally flat out called jessie a liar and publicly supported her rapist. she gaslit and manipulated jessie for years and tried to turn everyone against her. she basically emotionally abused her during the most traumatic time of her life. she deserves an apology.

I read a post about appropriation recently: “Appreciation: is eating a dinner so phenomenal that you ask the chef for the recipe. Appropriation: is stealing the chef’s handwritten cookbook, changing the recipe name and publishing it as your own for millions and then leaving the restaurant a one star Yelp review.” Edit: forgot part of the quote

The Celtics had dreadlocks. No one ever talks about that, though. It would unravel all their hard work being racist themselves. If people did a little self educating, they would know that dreads were common in other tribes of people that were not black. Soooooo
@Chris-gy6lq
@Chris-gy6lq 4 жыл бұрын
@@SerenaPro Ok but the dreadlocks people wear now are not Celtic inspired and I don't see many Celtic people with dreadlocks. You know who we all do see with dreadlocks.. black people. And Jeffree even laid his edges! Usually, African-Americans come up with something and it gets popular amongst them while others hold their nose and go ewwww until they figure out a way to appropriate it themselves and profit off of it and then it's original meaning and intent gets diluted until its a shell of its former glory. Look at the rap industry rn, hip hop and rap were significant in black culture in the 90s and held a special meaning, and then you get people like Eminem who is the only person to win an Academy Award for a hip hop song and Tekashi69 who makes a mockery of the whole genre and white people who now think its ok to say the n word because they're just rapping along to their favourite songs and dont give enough of a shit to recognise what they're doing. So no, I don't think people who criticise white people who wear dreadlocks as a statement to sell something are in fact the racists themselves, if the world worked that way we'd never achieve anything substantial and the fact people like you want to muddle the discourse by bringing up Celtic hairstyles for some reason is a bit disingenuous.
@Chris-gy6lq
@Chris-gy6lq 4 жыл бұрын
Appropriation is more like taking something from someones culture and specifically profiting off of it. You are appropriating something, it's in the words meaning. Not really about 'leaving a bad review' like you can say whatever you want about a part of someones culture even if you have stolen it but thats usually just prejudiced it's not specifically got to do with appropriation. The profit motive is what counts when we are talking about cultural appropriation, which is what Jeffree Star is doing.
@SerenaPro
@SerenaPro 4 жыл бұрын
@@Chris-gy6lq Your point? Hispanic girls style their baby hair and edges, too. Native Americans practiced dreading their hair, also. I descend from a long line of Celtic and Norse folk on my mom's side. And I'm Asian and Native American on my dad's side. Both cultures practiced dreading. Can I do mine however I want or do I have to employ a certain method because I'm not black? Or can I not have them just because I'm not black? Even though, I'm technically entitled to it if that's how you wanna be ABOUT FRIGGIN HAIR.
@Chris-gy6lq
@Chris-gy6lq 4 жыл бұрын
@@SerenaPro My point was in my whole reply lol but anyways. I'm not going to tell you how to do your hair as I couldn't care less. I didn't tell anyone how to do dreadlocks as I am not talking about random people here but a celebrity. Public figure, get it? Since the topic of the video was about Jeffree Star, a whole white man, having fake dreadlocks and laying his edges in his promo pics when he has had quite a racist past against black people, I thought I'd put in my opinion about it since he is specifically emulating a popular black hairstyle that people have told white people to lay off. Like try and tell me or anyone that Jeffree Star was like "you know what I want to look Celtic in these promotional shots" LOL

honestly this is exactly why you‘re the only “drama channel” i watch consistently. you give your personal opinions, even get heated on certain topics instead of just explaining the situation like a news reporter BUT you don’t just hate on people bc you don’t like them. you openly say that gabbie’s apology video seemed sincere and well done instead of finding little things to unnecessarily hate on. in addition you don’t just address “true drama” but also topics you just feel are important to talk about. keep up the good work, you are probably the only youtuber i watch every video of right now 💛

My problem with Jeffree is that this feels very much like the whole, “call us ghetto but come in with our hairstyles and be called woke” situation. My sister had the Snoop Dog theme song played every time she walked into a room because she had cornrows, but then a white girl in her class comes in with blonde ones and we watch as she’s called “woke” and “cool”. I’m not allowed to come in with my afro because it’s “distracting” but a yr7 girl can have blonde dreads with coloured bands down to her waist with no problems. We’re just sick of the “you hate on us but pick and choose from our culture “ narrative and that’s what’s fucking me up. Idk what you do with your hair, but respect where the style came from.

the thing about that christian girl is technically yes in the bible we're told the end will come to clean up the mess humans made HOWEVER that refers to everyone. literally every human is made sinful, every human is made imperfect. she is speaking like she is somehow above that which is not the way to be a positive christian. understanding is one of the biggest things you need as a christian because we all make bad decisions no matter what your beliefs, we all have to be better and strive to make the world a more positive place. you don't just wake up one day say "wow jesus is cool I guess" and are suddenly perfect.

A lot of palettes colors have different textures. For example, I love pinks and purples, and if a brand I know makes really good creamy and pigmemted colors, and they haven’t released much of pinks of purples but now they have made a full on palette with those colors, it makes me excited:) Also it very much depends on the color story. I for one love shimmers and iridescent types of colors and if a palette has many varieties of those I also get excited about it. A palette I truly enjoy atm is Lilac You A Lot by colourpopcosmetics. This is just my opinion. Some people also just wish to support a creator they idolize e.g. Jeffree Star or Shane Dawson, by purchasing their palette. Hope this made sense! :D

A lot of people have certain brands they gravitate to because of the formulas, packaging, price ect. So they want to buy specific shades from those brands. The problem with Jaclyn Hill’s pallette is that most of the shades are way too similar to so many other shades morphe has done both inside and outside of this specific palette.

1. Yes, history changes the reaction you get for cultural appropriation. If he wasn't problematic, I personally would not feel anything as long as he was respectful. 2. It's always great to see growth no matter who it is from. I always say "I dont hate them, I just hope that they learn to be better." 3. How Gabbie Hanna handled this was respectful in my opinion. Even when she got a lot of push back she handled it, in my opinion, correctly.

Most Japanese people (old people especially) love to see other races use Kimonos and other traditional clothing and actually feel happy and think it is a very good thing for their culture to get recognized more by other people. It's funny because, if people weren't hypocrites, then even using food that originated from other races would be cultural appropriation lmao.

It doesn’t take a genius to tell that the world has some pretty bad shit in it. BUT if you’re gonna say that Jesus is kind and wants everyone to be kind, then you wouldn’t freaking go around treating atheists or any other religion like they’re nothing and they’re wrong. Like that is the opposite of what the Bible says to do. If you start forcing your religion on people, then it seems like you’re in a cult.

Gabbie Hanna posted an apology that was exactly like this one a couple years ago after her other video exploiting someone’s death. She referenced the mom, gave her condolences to the family, sounded sad. She clearly has a pattern of exploiting and using others despite the pain it causes them. While her apology sounded genuine this time, don’t forget that she labeled every other disgusting thing she’s done as “useless drama” (including defending a rapist). There was subtle manipulation tactics in her apology video too, like sharing the messages between her and Biancas mom to be like “see? The moms not even mad so you shouldn’t be either”. She also validated those who defended bianca to appeal to them in the hopes of swaying their opinions about her and getting new fans. And I guarantee you the real reason she waited to respond was to try to figure out the best business move for herself, not because she was worried the family would find out. She tagged all the drama channels so it’s incredibly obvious that she knew all the drama channels were already discussing what she did, so any logical person would know it had already gotten to the family. Not to mention she responded to comments on Twitter that were right underneath hundreds of comments from all different accounts calling her out for her inappropriate video. So there’s no way she only found out from her “baby” sister. Manipulative people are good at manipulating 🤗

Do you have a link to the videos of this pattern? I would love to see more into this because the apology did seem very off. I just want to know if this is common, because if so, that means she’s probably perfected her apologies. I didn’t really fight more on this issue because the mother said she wasn’t hurt by it, so I let it go.

kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pb9jgLxmt7KvaYE.html -> kenza cosmetics scandal response where she blames the fans she scammed kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nK9mm6mBv5q0moU.html -> video exploiting other girls death for views kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oZZgored2Z-sm6c.html ->video apologizing for exploiting other girls death for views (without admitting thats what she was doing. Same apology format as this time but not as severe Bc people weren’t calling her out as hard). kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jsh_kruQlpvQoXk.html -> video of former friend of Gabbie who finally made a video after Gabbie manipulated her and treated her like trash. Also hung out with her supposed best friends rapist. Also Gabbie Hanna DMed a 15 year old fan trying to manipulate her into posting stuff defending Gabbie without admitting Gabbie asked her to. Wouldn’t be surprised if she played the victim to get Biancas mom to comment on her apology vid and say that what she did is fine. Gabbies very good at getting people to do what she wants. Just for good measure: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j8yTebuhxKnNmok.html -> a recent podcast where she condescends and talks down/ “corrects” her new best friend about pop culture references so she can feel superior . But then she’s called out in the comments for not even being correct about the pop culture facts she tried to rudely asserted over her friend. If you want to see more, look up Jen Dents video about her, Alex James video about her where they both reveal horrible things she’s said to them and done to them as “pranks” . Like really fucked up things. I could go on and on and on but I’ll leave this for now. She doesn’t apologize ever for anything so this is a list of some of the shitty stuff she does and the one apology she gave (for the video of the other girls death that she exploited).
@Hannah-fp8xc
@Hannah-fp8xc 4 жыл бұрын
Also like I said, she summed up all the things I posted above and more as “silly drama” in her Bianca apology video. She doesn’t think she owes anyone an apology for any of that, which is consistent with a narcissist who means to hurt others and doesn’t care how it effects them Bc supposedly they deserve it. I think the only reason she apologized for this is because I believe this was a genuine accident (meaning she didn’t see the article) but she definitely didn’t wait so long to address it because of the mom, she waited because of business and wanting to come up with a plan that would get fans back. She’s never showed any empathy, she’s not gonna start now so that’s probably why it felt manipulative to you. It was definitely motivated by selfishness (which is why she tagged drama channels and played the victim about being exploitative).

No BS I can’t help thinking she might have done this, at least partially, to help people forget about everything else she’s done. Now fans can point at this video and say that she DOES care about people and she IS willing to address her drama. Of course I don’t want to just see the bad in everything she does, but I went to see how people were responding to the apology in her comments section, and there were many comments talking about how the hate is unfair because she apologized for this one thing. Since she kept ignoring all the criticism before this incident, I kind of just see everything she does as a way of trying to push all the “drama” under the rug without actually addressing the really important things. Either way, I’m glad Bianca’s family is okay. Also I found your comment interesting, which is why I decided to reply to this one.

The Deva Curl “drama” is rough! Especially since some of these men, women, and children...yes kiddos have been affected as well, are having to completely cut off their, like BIG chop, to get rid of the damage and start over. And the fact that DC refuses to test the “tainted” product that the consumers are saying caused these problems and just keep saying, “nothing to see here...” is just a bad look on their part. I LOVE God is Grey, Brenda is the BEST! Paul and Morgan are cray cray 😜 and extreme, like the Transformed Wife, Girl Defined, Ms Midwest, and apparently Okaysage...🙄🙄🙄good grief kids, chill your nipples and listen to loving centric parts of the very bible you love to thump.

My hair is super short now, part of that is to try and regrow it, part of that is bc I wanted to start a new chapter in my life. Just sucks that any part of it had to be bc of damage from such an expensive product🤦🏽‍♀️🙅🏽‍♀️ never again!

Shelby Lewis sorry I’m not on twitter so I didn’t see. But still why tag them at all? For real ask yourself on a real level. Everyone is gonna see this and follows her, did she really have to add to it by tagging the drama

shotgun shelley she's donating profits to bianca's charity, those tags will get her views and therefore. profit

darkBoy 221 so it makes it right that she tagged drama and not Biancas family? So this from what ur saying is for views not for Bianca And this is what makes me angry! Everyone was gonna see her video .... that caused drama for nothing

I’m not a fan of J* because of his past and I feel like he’s doing this because he knows people will say something. It’s almost as if he’s trying to troll but I don’t care enough to even be outraged

thanks for your comments on james! it's so nice to see a "drama" channel acknowledging when people change and promoting them as opposed to raising doubts and drama over nothing. super respectable, really appreciate it.

I don't know about you guys but I'm still having trouble to believe her. During the entire video it always crossed my mind when she said *Manipulative people are good at being manipulative.*
