Gabby Franco Shows us Whats new at Walther

Walther served up new designs at SHOT Show in Las Vegas, but one of the most eye-catching came by way of the new Q4 Steel Frame pistol.
Based on the Q5 design, the Q4 sports a 4-inch barrel on an overall 7.4-inch length. Weighing 39.7-ounces, the 9mm chambered pistol shaves off some unneeded bulk so it easily slips into a concealed carry setup. Walther competition shooter Gabby Franco told Guns.com that the Q5 notably sports an aggressive beavertail perfect for competition shooting but that beavertail isn’t so great on concealment. The company, in turn, shaved down the beavertail to offer a more discreet carry option.

Are the grips on the Q4 interchangeable with those on Q5 match SF? Maybe it's just me, but the Q5 regular grip seems so much fatter than the Q4, but both sure look the same.

Lol what their boar axis is still pretty high. But who cares i have a pqq and a sig soa legion people always cry about the boar axis but i can out shot their glocks and cz's. I think you wont regret the q5 or any walther for that matter.

Walther Germany is now selling them. If you’re in the US, you may have to order them from Earls Repair Service. Mine are coming in about two more months.

Ethan Mac Interesting I have won many matches with my Walther Q5 Match so I am partial to the brand. I have not shot the M&P, but I have been thinking about the Performance Center 5” M&P as a possible acquisition.

The CCP shot like a .22 pistol. People at the range could not believe how easy it was to shoot it. It is also very accurate.

Ive heard good things about walthers like the ppq but i just find them to be too damn ugly. Those all metal ones on the other hand are very nice looking but cost way too much

Ok. Walther originally made the PPQ Q5 with a polymer frame. Thus, they make the distinction in the name because is this new model has a steel frame. That is all.

Why isn’t the black tie optic ready ? For the price you’re paying for this pistol and it being a competition pistol, seems stupid it’s not optic ready!
