Well I think towards the end the Tensen was getting overwhelmed and wasn't retaliating as much.

And Tenza did the same thing actually. They both did the most damage when they stopped caring about their bodies and just started swinging like there was no tomorrow.

Like what made anime like the big three and others so compelling is how characters overcome opponents stronger than them by using the logic of the magic/power system to outsmart opponents. The mid fight power up is a contant trope in anime but the way they executed this was just horrible bc its not like a new power unlock, or a permanent buff upgrade… he just beats the guy bc he says he has to beat the guy, and normally when thats done at least the gap in power isnt as obviously wide as this. This right here is just lazy writing. “What if we put him up against a villian he clearly cant beat and then he just…does…”. Its plot armor in the most blatant form lmfao

​@@Runthemjewels I think he just straight up said fuck whatever damage I take, cause i'm either gonna dodge and end up dying, or swing and have a chance of winning. Guarding didn't do anything either, so he just decided to not care about taking blows and began passing out his own, and then adrenalin gave him the extra boost in power he needed to beat his ass.

I agree with you especially if the character was shown to be completely idiotic the entire time and then all of a sudden when they are about to lose in battle their IQ suddenly goes up to 1000 and they come up with a master plan to defeat the enemy. Dont get me wrong Im a sucker for seeing the main characters win but I have to admit that most of the times they be winning off plot armour. Also its funny because Gabimaru is actually a really smart character and is battle IQ is insane so if anything I expect him of all people to come up with a master plan to defeat Tensin during battle.

well, kind of agree with you but not 100%, everyone should have a plan before step in a fight. This time Gabi just got lucky bcs this tensen is weak compare to others, and Mei was there. Gabi didnt know a monster like that existed and start a fight without knowing anything about Tao. This is a fresh air, but I dont think a battle without strategy is a thing should be praised. In this case, if you dont have any plan, best to do is retreating, to me its the best logic strategy even in reality, more than bring out everything for a try. And Gabi didnt think about running when he could earlier

For me it was demon slayer and komi can't communicate but majority agrees that hell in paradise is a 10/10 series and the fights are insane with actually genuinely great main character unlike most action shonen

He just didn't know what he is using is called Tao. All the ninja in this series can use Tao. That is how they can perform superhuman abilities and ninjutsu.

@@tokyogxs we are more than 30 years into seeing that animation does not (by default) make up for potential failings in a teams ability to properly bringing a manga to a new medium. Many animations might be a delight for seeing the characters we like in movement, but fall short on every other count. The anime that dont or even elevate the work from the manga, are rare and to be acknowledged. Currently the only group i've seen do this consistently is KyoAni, RIP to so many of their staff in that arson attack though, heard he got the death penalty.
