More than 100 years after Albert Einstein predicted gravitational waves -- ripples in space-time caused by violent cosmic collisions -- LIGO scientists confirmed their existence using large, extremely precise detectors in Louisiana and Washington. Astrophysicist Gabriela González of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration tells us how this incredible, Nobel-winning discovery happened -- and what it might mean for our understanding of the universe. (In Spanish with English subtitles.)

Amazing! They should post more TED talks in different languages. In addition to learning something different than what the average Silicon Valley startup is up to, or the latest "struggle" against discrimination, we can appreciate the language and its flow. Promote good content, not good English speakers.

Gravity has a lot of in common with the electromagnetism: the force negative momentum wind flux behavior of the gravitational Newton 1/r^2 interaction, the existence of gravitational v.s electromagnetic waves etc. It is therefore quite natural to proceed like in the case of electromagnetism, quantize it and ask for the graviton, the particle which averages to macroscopic fields and transfers the gravitational attraction. Forgetting Einstein no one really has to insist first on the geometrical philosophy and interpret the gravity as the perturbation of the flat space-time geometry and simply ask first for the full gravitoelectromagnetic field. The natural consequence is the possible gravitomagnetic field different than the static free fall gravity "Coulomb" field and caused not by the masses alone but by the flowing streams (currents) of masses causing the circular trajectories of probe masses around the gravitomagnetic field lines around those streams and therefore mass current-current repulsion or attraction (if it was strong walking along the heavy rivers would feel like the Coriolis force on a rotating plate) and also possible existence of two kinds of gravitational charges (the negative gravitational mass) as well as the native (without the general Einstein theory) gravitoelectromagnetic waves detectable by a resonant sejsmographs (heavy oscillating masses in resonance with the wave frequency simply detecting oscillating gravity fields radiated by far astronomical objects (which were the original Weber bars) if the mutual gravitoelectric (normal gravitational) and gravitomagnetic (Coriolis-like) fields flux changes are like mass currents causing circulating lines of the complementary fields. It would obviously be weak if the "Coulomb" gravity force is already weak and it would introduce the second beyond the normal gravitational constant G the gravitomagnetic coupling constant for the Lorentz gravitational force the G1, coupling the moving mass stream density to the force acting on a moving mass around and no one therefore knows if the speed of gravity waves was immediately the same electromagnetic c. The later is absolutely strategic for the working anti-gravity devices (like even the levitating flying cars) which would revolutionize the spaceship propulsion and navigation. Because the gravitational energies are comparatively very low to the rest mass energies control of the flipping of the sign of the gravitational charge would cause the repulsion with a planet and smooth ballon-like startup of the space ship without any Tsiolkovski normal mass and momentum ejection. It is not energy consuming at all above pumping the normal balloon to make such a switch without regenerating the anti-gravitational type of the matter but only to revert the gravity charge sign. The quantum (blurred) field theory for any classical fields causing forces is nothing else as to say that any values of such fields are possible to be measured in a single measurement i.e. there is no any field equations but simply a dice toss of the field value at a point, any field is possible to be seen and to give the prescription how to calculate to averages of those measurements which normally is done by knowing the weight of the deviation along the functional path of the arbitrary possibility from its classical propagation values (minimal action) so the quantization is here as natural as for any other field even if the field has the Einstein interpretation of the fluctuating geometry like someone was considering the average curvature of two dimensional quantum folded piece of paper or randomly breathing and deformed ball (sphere) if a single look measurement could give any shape. The existence of gravitomagnetism i.e. gravitational forces other then Newtons force however does not require the Einstein interpretation of the gravity as curved geometry and if such is imposed generally implies different more complicated Einstein-like equations tuned to those forces in low energy limit neither the Einstein equations are needed to predict the gravitational waves immediately implying the possible antigravitational matter (matter which repels with the normal matter) but only assumption of the Maxwell-like equations for time dependent gravitational fields and mass currents. Obviously the assumption that those waves also move with the electromagnetic speed of light is immediately implying the gravitomagnetic permittivity coupling (coefficient between the mass current action to generate the gravitomagnetic field and the gravitomagnetic field Lorentz force action) constant as 4*Pi G/c^2 so extremely weak for Cavendish-like experiments for even heavy rivers to measure gravitomagnetism directly not mentioning the Farraday gravitomagnetic induction law using some giant pendula or other heavy mass moving machinery to observe the mutual gravitoelectromagnetic inductions.

.. Hello from Kazakhstan. The Dark Universe requires a lot of money from the budget: an experiment that sheds new light on the Universe will help save costs. We can create an educational and practical device and practically master Einstein’s theories of relativity or obtain, for example, new physics: Postulate 1. Light is an ordered vibration of gravitational quanta. Postulate 2. The gravitational field controls the frequency and speed of light in a vacuum. This is determined experimentally using a hybrid fiber optic gyroscope (based on Michelson's experiment 1881-2024). Using a hybrid fiber optic gyroscope, the straight-line speed of vehicles can be measured. There is a company in China that makes (fiber optic angular velocity meter) they will be able to create a hybrid device. Please, can you come to an agreement with them? I guarantee payment at cost on my part.
