I doff my hat for the mix engineer who mixed and mastered this work. A lot of behind the scenes audio processing went into this than folks would realize. Drums were made drier, to hit the right spots. Background vocals fed through loads of effects to push them really back in a chamber-like vibe. Lead vocals also pushed back, but right in front of the BGVs. Masterpiece of mixing here.
