The dye definitely works you just should’ve used both boxes and left it on till you seen a color change (almost an hour). I use it to get my hair blonde and it works amazing!

But also like she has dark hair so yeah it would’ve left a red tint in her hair if she would’ve left it longer but it wouldn’t have been aburn like the photo without some light brown hair yk

Girlll I recommend hi color by L’Oréal it’s specifically meant for dark hair so you can get more of a vibrant color 😌

Girl FYI box dyes do work even on dark thick hair, just do minimum 2 - 3 boxes to see more of a result

@@carrot9724 no, my hair is naturally black and I went from that color to brown copper (lighter than what she has and with copper undertones) I used first a super blonde box dye, and then for like 3 days I applied oxygenated water in cream (volume 30) on my hair for 30 minutes and then rinse, and after that I used the same hair box she used and another one that it is a little darker but same revlon and I got to the color, but I never bleached and my hair never got damaged, you just need to be really patient

I've used this color on a friend before with dark hair (and lite gray throughout). On dark hair, it needs to sit more along the lines of an hour. You also definitely need two, maybe even three, boxes for hair as thick as yours. It produces a really nice color so long as you totally saturate it and let it sit for an hour.

you can use the hair colour ini the roots for the last 10 minutes. so you use for the rest of the hair except the roots first. because roots has higher temperature than other hair so its easier to absorb the colour. if you use in the roots first, it may look lighter. so i suggest to use this for the last 10 minutes (1-2 cm from the scalp). btw i'm so sorry for my bad eng 😭 hope it helps!! ❤

As a dark blond woman who got bleached in less than tweety minutes completely white, i like to see the result of this kind of colors on very dark hair, its like just shading naturaly effect. On me, its always super visible and flashy, almost like a plastic wig. Nature makes good thing i guess it suits better depeding on color skin and eyes

Hmm that’s quite weird that the hair dye didn’t really show on your hair, I have the same color hair and texture(fellow Latina) and used that specific hair color, but used about 2-3 boxes also I left it on about 40-45 mins more than what the box says just so the hair can take the hair dye, maybe try that to have it lighter like the box

guys i did my hair too. if you really want a more red tint, use loreal majirel 5.62 with 4.56 in the ratio of 2:1. I did 3:1 because i wanted it more red

A quick bleach bath to strip a little of the darkness out of your hair and THEN the dye would've made a huge difference. Minimal damage too for the result

4.2 is too dark for a dark hair person. if you want to get a result, you need to get 7.2 or higher and preferably with 30 vol . that will lighten your hair and it will come out lighter

What you have to go get is L'Oreal HiColor Red HiLights it does a really good job and you don't have to dye your hair light and it will show up. I have dark hair just like you and I did magenta and it's magenta real bright. Go get it at Sally's beauty supply

hey, maybe you should have tried to do a bleach bath to get your hair a little bit lighter, it won't burn your hair or anything, it's totally safe haha good luck getting your hair done. 💗

Guys, she used box dye. Dye only deposits color and the hydrogen peroxide in it barely lifts. If u want that vibrant red u have to prelighten with bleach and then dye. Dye is not meant to take black hair to anything lighter than dark brown lol.

How you watched brad mondo videos and he specifically says box dyes don’t work on dark hair 😭😭 I have extremely dark hair and I use L’Oréal for Dark hair with 30 vol and it works. Also never keep it in on the instructions time. Just watch your hair process until it lifts to the color you want

You needed to lighten it... but I'm like you and didn't want to lighten it so I use Swarzkopf brand mahogany red and something even the brighter ones, because that's the brand that always actually worked without bleaching my hair & it always looks bomb asf. The true way is to lighten it though... it's just scary because we cherish our hair so much.
