After watching at least 50 videos in the last 7 days a bothersome situation arose once again All over KZfaq are “reviews” of not just headsets but essentially everything-obviously But most of them are brand ambassadors on the DL they get sent these products free of charge therefore creating a review video that is completely biased giving the viewer and altered perception of reality It is wildly frustrating. Essentially leaving me with more questions than before. Which in turn makes it that much harder to pick a dam headset Your videos are long but you do numerous tests and showcase every detail well So I thank you for your efforts

Man, the Astro A30 charged to 100% in just one hour, and when I first used it, it was at 40% but then I used it to 5%. It's an incredible headset. While it might not blast music as loudly, even with EQ adjustments on your phone, it really amps up the excitement when connected for gaming. I'm absolutely loving this headset, no question about it!

This review was amazing thank you for all the details, it was super helpful so many reviews skip a lot of the little things that I find important. Originally I was thinking about the nova 7x vs 700 gen 2 max. But now sense I was already leaning toward the nova 7x and the a30.

I purchased the nova pros wireless 3 days ago, luckily I don’t feel any bump , love it ! Coming from a Astro a40 I think the nova pro wireless is at the top of the mountain especially with the battery feature sound is amazing as well I’m hearing every little detail in game

I'll be interested to see what they do to differentiate the eventual refreshes of the A40 and A50 that we all know are coming.

Got one yesterday and I very impressed with it. The ear hole is a bit small for me, and long sessions will have you adjusting it for comfort, but these are not a huge deal. Sound is great, and the look is on point. A great headset!

hey mate, first video I've watched from you. Really enjoyed the production value and quality of delivery. The PC gaming headset market is competitive and overwhelming with what's out there. Often hard to find a great headset wireless headset for a medium budget is challenging as there are so many flaws with headsets in 2022 that get so much right, but still a few things wrong is astonishing. Can you do a video for the medium-medium high budget wireless PC gaming headset? For example, the razer sharks look great, apparently sound great, but their earmuffs have to keep being adjusted after sliding down...and other products that compete have equivalent flaws. Would be good to get a great comparison to see what comes out on top.

Awesome review I'm definitely sold on these. I think the mic sounds good enough for the price, I've had hyper x cloud flights for a few years and those mics are straight up trash. The hyper x headsets do sound amazing but, I did like the Astro A50s but they sound to muddy for me so I'm hoping these sound better then them which you did say they do.

Impressed with the review. I am a long time a50 owner and desperate for a refresh as the loss of optical with migration to xbox x has killed the sound quality on the a50. DUDE 18:50 you literally just sold the headset to me. I need a headset that can hear PS5 and PC at the same time. I noticed the mic breakdown though. When connected to multiple devices does the mic prioritize a connection over another? I was kind of hoping to use the headset on PC with the wireless dongle for Discord and PS5 through the aux cable but don't really want to use the mic on PS5. Or is the mic simultaneous with aux as well as wireless and BT?

Wow, so far it sounds amazing, even the internal mic sounds really good! Not as good as the Stealth 700 gen 2, but it gets close. Would you say it sounds better than the 700 gen 2's? Hey I just found your channel a few days ago and I've watched tons of your reviews. I bit the bullet and got the a50s and the arctis nova 7, and I love the A50s but it feels weird buying a 3 year old headset with half the battery life, no bluetooth, outdated support, etc. The Astro employees who comment on reddit are kind of suggesting the A30s are close to the A50... what do you think? I'd definitely prefer a more modern feature set but I do like fuller sound. Cheers mate, can't wait for the next head to head!

If you were just buying a headset primarily for call of duty which would you pick? Concerns are foot steps, directional Audio and mic sensitivity(so party chat don’t hear every noise around me.)

Great review! You said the headset will play three sources at once without volume reduction like the TBs do. If connected via TRRS to a mobile device for Discord mobile app, and headset is powered on to connect to the console dongle (I have PS5)... Will you still project the highest quality voice to Discord?

how come my logitech app doesn’t look like that and it’s been over a year? just bought me these headphones and it doesn’t let me use custom eq. it only gives me the option to use the 2 that were provided from the start. don’t know what to do and i’ve been lookin everywhere to see what can i do to fix this issue if anyone in the comments got sum plz throw me and response thxs

I personally loathe flip to mute, because it leaves you with 1 of 2 things. Either a mic that has basically a fixed, hinged drop with very little adjustability - or a mic that eventually wears out and starts dropping from over use. I prefer a button of some type.

I'm super torn on the Nova 7 because the mids dip and the arctis 7's sounded terrible. How does the nova 7 compare to the arctis 7, BlackShark V2 Pro wireless or Corsair HS80 as far as audio quality, imaging, and sound stage are concerned?

I love this headset my favorite headset was the A50 but after all the updates so they can be used with the ps5 they sound flat no bass at all the only problem I got with this is the mic picks up allot of noise but I really liked them

Great review as always! Have you don’t the Hyper X Alpha Wireless? I thought I hated Hyper X headsets until I tried them and now I’m using them over my Penrose because of that great bass. Reminds me of the gen 2 700 max but with 300hr battery life for my home gaming and on the go laptop gaming with once a month charging.

You literally made me go out an get the A30s and man. …They sound really good. I’ve been looking for a decent headset for my PS5 forever. I have multiple premium headsets for my XSX… I was between getting the nova pros or the VZR model one, but saw this video and got the A30s an man. These things surprised the shit out of me especially when I messed with the EQ. I wonder what the new A50s will sound like or how much they’ll cost.

I've been searching all over for the answer to this question... For console gaming using a wired headset means plugging into the wireless controller (for the most part). That being said what produces better sound an affordable wired headset like HyperX CloudX plugged into the controller or a wireless headset like the A30's via 2.4ghz dongle plugged directly into the console? I know you have be be careful which wired headset you use because the controller can only output so much power. Thank you!

Another great in depth review and anothet example why i subscribe. One suggestion is that if you have a product that uses leather or leatherette it may be helpful to specify (if the information is available) if it is vegan and/or sustainable for those of us who are more conscious consumers.

Has the app issue and other bugs been fixed? Considering grabbing a pair for PlayStation. The A30s are only $150 - $180 in most places these days.

So update.. I purchased the ps5 version and sound is 💯 volume, I returned it to buy the Xbox version and forgot the ps5 dongle in the console.. well hate to say the transmitter only works with one headset meaning if you have 2 transmitters it requires to pair them to the headset every time you want to switch consoles so not very every console friendly.. at least the steelseries novas new transmitters can have two pure headset without requiring pairing each time you switch consoles, only problem you can’t buy them online yet

Still rocking the Audeze Penrose x!! is there anything at the 200-300 price point that matches their audio quality? I was previously using Arctis pro's with DAC and A40 with astro game amp. But the Penrose audio wise has crushed everything else I have tried so far. What about the A30's are they a step above the A40's/50's ? Why segment do this fill, or should I say who are these for?

I hope this means they'll be updating the A40 & A50 models soon

I've been looking for a good sounding, feature rich, good mic wireless headset on sub $300 price and haven't found anything that suits me well. I've tried Steelseries Arctis 7p+, Epos H3Pro hybrid, and H6Pro (I really like this headset but again, it is not wireless). Do you have a recommendation for me that you think could suits me well? This Astro A30 seems good and has quite good sound profile but I don't quite like the mic. Thanks man

I'm curious, will these work with an A20 Gen 2 Transmitter or are they hard coded to only work with Transmitters for the A30 if there are specific ones? (I got an A20 Gen 2 for PlayStation 2 weeks ago & have just won an A30 gen 2, but need to decide between PS or Xbox version & I am hoping if I go Xbox, that it can pair with both Transmitters when I want to use it on either system).
